Spring Clean
Just days to the annual 'Spring Clean' on Saturday 11th April. Old faces and new welcome on the bridge at 10am . This is the only opportunity in 2015 to leave all roads in the parish litter free. Organise your own team of litter pickers . An Taisce and Wexford County Council will supply bags and gloves on the day. Be involved and ensure a cleaner greener Blackwater into the future. The Tidy Towns looks forward to meeting you on the bridge on Satuday 11th April at 10am. Thank you for your continued support.
Macra Club News
County Titles night and Ubet night will take place in the Bailey, Enniscorthy on Sat 11th April at 8.30pm-all welcome.
Macra's national drama final is taking place over two days next weekend, 11th and 12th April and to finish up the month Mr. Personality Festival will take place in the Springhill Court Hotel Kilkenny on 24th and 25th April. Call the club secretary on 087 9585376 for more info.

Drama
The Camross Drama Group are delighted to announce details for the 3 Act play The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley by Jimmy Keary. You will have a great night of laughs at this comedy of romantic errors on Thursday 30th April and Friday 1st May in Saint Michael's Hall, Green Street, Wexford. The St. Vincent De Paul Society will hold a Furniture and Bric-a-Brac Sale in St. Michael's Hall, Thomas Street on Friday, 10th April from 10a.m. - 1p.m. All proceeds in aid of the Society.

Tara Villa Childcare
Tara Villa Childcare, Barntown have had a busy few weeks taking part in the National Pyjama Day in aid of Irish Autism Action, for which they raised over €400. They also had their very own St.Patrick's Day Parade and Ceili to celebrate St.Patrick's day in the grounds of the Childcare centre. Lots of fun had by everyone, the kids did a great job! Also, keep an eye out for Tara Villa on the roads in their annual "Big Toddle" in aid of Barnardos as part of their Safety Week in June
Barntown Dynamic Trio
Well done to Clara O'Doherty, Naoise McManus & Mia Byrne the Barntown Dynamic Trio who all qualified for the Irish Team to represent Ireland at the WFK European Championships which will take place in Budapest this October. These Barntown girls are from the Dynamic Kick Boxing Academy in Wexford. Please support them in their up and coming fundraising events to raise funds to send the girls to Budapest.
Gymnastics Open Day
Gymstars Gymnastics Club will hold a fun open day at their Gym club on Tuesday 7th April from 11am-12.30pm. Anyone can come along, you do not have to be a member and you can use the equipment, have a bounce on the Airtrack, swing from the ropes, walk the beam etc. €3 per child and this money will go into the equipment fund. There will be a limit on the day so come along early to avoid disappointment.
Public Meeting
Following on from recent break ins and attempted break ins in the area, there is a meeting to be held in Glynn Hall on Monday 13th April at 8 pm with a view to setting up a Community Alert Scheme and Text Alerts in the Glynn area. This would be an invaluable scheme for the area and your support in getting this up and running would be much appreciated. All are welcome.

Student Awards
Well done to Thomas O'Keeffe from Barntown-a first year pupil in CBS, who was the runner up of the Junior Category at the recent Wexford Enterprise Board Student Awards. There were 1,200 participants so Thomas can be very proud of his achievement.

Tractor/Vintage run
Our annual Tractor/Vintage run in aid of Murrintown Cemetery Development Fund will take place on Sunday 31st May. It will start at pm from Murrintown Community Centre. 20 Euro per vehicle. Hot lunch or salad served at 12.30pm. Family lunch: 2 adults + 2 children €25. Adult lunch €10. Child lunch €5.
Come along and enjoy your dinner with no washing up. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Watch this space for further details.
Oylegate
Social Dance
Sunday April 12th is the next night of Social Dancing in Oylegate Community Centre. Music on the night is by Catherine and Images, who make a welcome return. As usual dancing is from 9.30p.m. Admission is €8 with the welcome tasty refreshments served.
Youth Club
On Tuesday April 7th we are holding a mini 'awaketon' from 8pm to 12 midnight. It is a fundraiser for our trip to Carlingford in May and will be a night of Pizzas, cooking, fun and games. The cost is €6. There will be no Youth Club on Friday 10th April, as the supervisors are helping to cover the awaketon.

Confirmation will take place in Oylegate church on Thursday April 30th at 2pm.

The Old School Centre

G.A.A. club news
Topaz For Clubs: At the moment there is an initiative being run by Topaz for GAA clubs, where a member can get diesel or petrol at a topaz station, get a card from the filling station get it stamped each time that you purchase fuel and when the card is full give it in to the GAA committee members. When the club have 30 full cards they are then be entered in to a draw for various cash prizes. All support in this venture would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone would like to join the GAA club to help with this they are welcome.
Lotto: There was no winner of the lotto jackpot held in the Slaney Inn Oylegate on Wednesday March 18th. The next draw will be held in Mernagh's Lounge Oylegate on Wednesday April 3rd. Tickets cost just €2 each available from club members.

GAA Club notes
Our Intermediate football team will be out in the first round of the championship next Sunday 12th V Ferns in Bree at 2pm and the Jun B football team will be out on Sunday 12th away to St James at 6.30pm in Mersheen. Please give your support to both teams on Sunday 12th.
Our club Lotto will take place on Tuesday 7th, when the Jackpot is €5300, please have your tickets in the Center at 7.30pm.
Ladies Football
U12 girls football had there first game of the year last Sat at home V Bannow/Ballymitty. The girls played very well and all put in a big effort to come from behind to earn a draw 4.2 V 2.8.
Thanks to Shane Murphy, Daybreak, Taghmon for the kind donation of a Lindt Easter Egg Raffle ,proceeds will go to support the Feile Girls.
The U14 Wexford Feile Competition will be hosted in Taghmon/Camross and Glynn Barntown Clubs on the Bank Holiday Monday 6th.Registration at 9.30 am first matches at 10 am.
