Shamrock Vintage Club
The Shamrock Vintage Club will hold its AGM in Raheen Community Centre on Tuesday December 1st at 9pm. All current members and new members welcome.
The fifth annual ploughing match will be held on Sunday 6th December starting at 11am, at Ballyrue New Ross on the lands of the Scully family. There will be the following classes on the day two furrow, T.V.O, trailer class, single furrow, ladies and classic diesel. The classic diesel class will be a heat for the Mythen Cup.
This year the proceeds will go to Bri-independent brain injury support and advocacy. Your support would be much appreciated on the day.

The Annual General Meeting of St Abban's Adamstown GAA Club will now be held on Sunday 6th December at 4pm inAdamstown Community Centre.
The weekly '30' Card Game continues in the Community Centre this Friday 27th November at 9pm. Thanks to ladies for the teas last week. Catering on the night will be Mary Delaney, Sheelagh Delaney, Catherine O'Rourke & Elizabeth Greene. Proceeds going to Parish Funds.
The winning numbers in the recent Adamstown Lotto Draw were 1-3-6-23. There was no jackpot winner and three match three winners - Geraldine Thorpe, Glenour, Tommie O 'Connor, Misterin & Kathleen Whelan, Springpark. The next draw takes place on Wednesday 2nd December in Foley's Bar for a Jackpot of €14,500.

Girls Soccer Training
Any girls in 1st, 2nd or 3rd class in Newbawn, Raheen or Adamstown national school with an interest in training and playing under-10 soccer are reminded that training takes place in Adamstown Community Centre every Tuesday night from 7 to 8pm.
The Mass for deceased members of Bree ICA now takes place on this Tuesday, November 24th at 7.30pm in Bree Church followed by a guild meeting in the Community Centre.
Winter Fun Run/Walk
Bree Youth Club are organizing a Winter Fun Run / Walk on Sunday December 13th starting at 2pm from Bree Community Centre. This will be a timed event and there will be prizes for the first male and female home and also sport prizes for walkers. All entrants will be included in a free raffle on the day. Entry fee is €10 for the 10k Run and €5 for the 5k Walk. All levels of fitness welcome. Refreshments will be served afterwards in Bree Community Centre.
Bree AC News
Further dates for the Winter League are November 29th in Ferns and December 5th in Volunteers pitch in Wexford with a party afterwards. Races begin at 2pm with registration open from 1pm. Cost €3. High Jump training takes place in Galbally Hall at 7pm each Saturday night for U10s and upwards.
Chess and Draughts
Bree Davidstown Community Games Chess and Draughts Lessons resumed on Tuesday nights from 7-9pm in Bree Hall. All children the parishes of Bree and Davidstown from 8 years to 16 years are welcome. Cost is €1.
Bree Parish Journal
Preparations are under way for this year's edition of Bree Parish Journal. The committee is looking for photographs particularly of groups of people from times past as well as items suitable for publication pertaining to places or people of the area including notable family celebrations eg 50th Wedding Anniversaries. SVP Christmas Fair
The Society of St Vincent de Paul will hold a Christmas Fair in St. Michael's Hall, Thomas Street, on Saturday, 28th November from 11.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m. Great value in Toys, Books, Gifts and Christmas Decorations. All proceeds in aid of the Society.
Story Telling Group
The next Story telling session will take place in the Old School Centre on Wednesday 24th November at 8pm. All are welcome to come along and join us for an evening of song story telling and music, so if you can play an instrument sing a song or tell a story we would love to see you there, but if you would just like to come along and enjoy the entertainment that's ok too. Admission is free and there will be Tea and Refreshments served on the night. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Our Craft Fair will take place in the School on Saturday 5th December from 2-4pm. The Children and their Parents are currently working on lots of festive Art and Crafts and novelty items for the sale. There will be another make and do class for all in the school on Saturday next 28th November from 2 till 4, to get all the crafts Festive Logs, Wreaths and Festive Candles finished.
If you have any unwanted gifts or decorations that you would like to donate please leave them in the box in the hall in the school any day during the week. Thanks to those who donated bottles and jars, we have enough now.
Village Renewal Group
Glenbrien Village Renewal Group wish to thank all those who participated in the recently launched 'Time Capsule' letter writing. Most particularly a warm thank you to the Principal, teachers and staff of Glenbrien National School who guided the students in the art of letter writing through the medium of good community participation.
Both ideas will serve well as foundations for good citizenship and also as the young students progress into the adult world, the art of business letter writing will be a further beneficial outcome.
Many thanks also to the grandparents and parents who committed pen to paper. Only time will tell (40 years time) which groupings, young or old, reminisced into the past and which 'maxed' on imagination towards 40 years into the future. Hopefully, in addressing posterity, it was an enjoyable exercise to all participants.
The Wexford Hospice Homecare committee would like to thank everyone who supported Ireland's biggiest Coffee Morning sponsored by Bewleys. This year you raised €13,521. All this money will go towards continuing the services of Hospice Homecare in County Wexford.

Flower arranging demonstration evening by Lily Bloom florist in aid of Wexford Swimming Club. CAMOGIE club news
Well done to Glynn Barntown Camogie girls Cora Doyle, Emma Sweeney, Emma Dempsey, Niamh Cogley, Niamh Rowe and Cora Rowe who all played their parts with the Junior camogie team of the Presentation school Wexford in their recent defeat of Gorey Vocational School. This puts the girls through to the semi finals after Christmas.
SANTA VISIT TO CAMOGIE CLUB: Glynn Barntown camogie club are excited to announce that a certain Mr. & Mrs Santa Claus will take time out from their busy schedule to visit the clubhouse on Saturday December 12th from 5-7pm. Come along and exchange season's greetings with other parents from the area, enjoy tea, coffee, mulled wine or a mince pie while the children colour and have their faces painted as they wait to see the man himself! €5 per child under 2s free of charge.
COISTE NA NÓG
Glynn Barntown Coiste na nÓg AGM will be held next Friday November 27th at 7:30pm. All are welcome to review the year and plan for 2016. If anyone would like to be involved in any capacity with any of the boys underage teams next year please contact Paudie on 087 6479944.
Hurling 365 continues in Glynn Hall on Mondays at 8:30am for girls & boys in 2nd & 3rd classes and on Tuesdays for the Senior Infants & 1st classes. Please bring your hurl & helmet. Kids participating are to be dropped off at the hall. Afterwards they will be walked to school. Well done to our U.16 quiz team of Andrea Carley, Emma Sweeney, Philip Cowman and Cormac Cooney who recently represented GlynnBarntown Coiste na nÓg in the all county Scór na nÓg quiz.
A long season drew to a close on Saturday afternoon as our U.21 footballers bowed out of championship to Shelmaliers. Hard luck lads and well done to the entire club-players, mentors, officers and parents-on another year of successes and lessons learned, on and off the field. Here's to 2016 and Senior Hurling and Senior Football status and doing it all over again!
The AGM of Glynn Barntown Senior GAA Club will take place on Sunday 13th December.
Our Junior Ladies footballers lost out to Clonee on Friday night in bitter wintery conditions in the League Co. final. Hard luck girls but still a great achievement in the club's first year fielding an adult team.
On Sunday evening the Ladies football club hosted an end of year party in the clubhouse with a fun table quiz which was great fun. Thanks to Jessie Morrissey for sponsorship of 10 footballs from her TY project and a special thanks to Colm Neville and the Riverside Park Hotel for their very generous sponsorship of club jerseys and the U.16 team received their shield medals also
GAA CLUB LOTTO
The first draw of Glynn Barntown's New Club Lotto took place in Declans on Wednesday November 18th with Mary Roche on hand to draw the numbers. The winning numbers were 8, 13, 16, 17. There was no Jackpot Winner buttwo Match 3 winners (sharing €200) Catriona Kelly, Phil Bolger.
The Jackpot remains at €10,000 with the next draw taking place on Wednesday December 02nd in Mary Jo's Barntown.
Thanks to all who supported their club and helped make this happen and good luck in future draws. Well done to the industrious Lotto Committee for their vision and execution of this highly successful fundraiser.

There will be youth club in the Oylegate community centre on this Friday evening November 27th from 8.00 to 10.00pm. The supervisors for the evening are David Parker, Seamus Whelan, Ann Marie Nolan, Anna Mai Conroy, Majella Fitzgerald, and Madeleine Roche.
KickBoxing: Oylegate youth club Leaders & Members would like to congratulate Anna Nolan on her wonderful performance winning Gold in the World Championships in Kick Boxing in Florida last week, a fantastic victory Anna.
Soccer: Our under-15 girls were runners-up in the recent County finals of Soccer: Sarah Downes, Loren Doyle, Hannah Mernagh, Roisin Fortune, Kate Maher. Hard luck to all our other teams.
Unihoc & Basketball: On Sunday November 29th in the Astro Active in Enniscorthy we have 2 U-15 teams taking part in Uni-hoc and 1 team in U-15 Basketball.
Disco: 26 Members attended the recent Disco in Bree and our 1st years went to Leisure Max all had a great time.
Day Trip: Our annual trip for Ice skating & shopping to Dundrum takes place on Saturday December 5th.
A coffee morning in aid of the SERT bus will be held in Mernaghs Lounge Oylegate on this Thursday morning November 26th. All support for this great cause would be greatly appreciated. This is a voluntary service for bringing patients to Waterford.
There was no winner of the lotto jackpot held in Mernagh's Lounge, Oylegate on Wednesday November 11th. The next draw will be held in the Slaney Inn, Oylegate on Wednesday November 25th. Tickets cost just €2 each and are available from club members.
Oylegate/Glenbrien GAA club are holding a fundraising draw to help pay off the debt on the field. The first prize is €5,000 and all other prizes are cash. Tickets cost €10 each or 3 for €20. Ticket sellers and/or drivers are required to help out with the fundraiser- please contact any committee member.
The parents association would like to thank all who baked for the recent cake sale. Thanks to those who helped at the cake sale and also the Halloween disco. Both events were a great success and raised €1,300.
