Clonard Children's And Family Liturgy Group: Children's/Family Mass will recommence on Sunday 24th January. This Mass which is celebrated every Sunday at 10am, gives families with pre-school children and children of school going age the opportunity to understand the Gospel and participate in the Eucharistic celebration at their own level.
At the end of the Introductory Rites, the Priest invites all the children in the Church to leave with trained adult leaders for their own celebration in a nearby prepared place. The Gospel is explored through reflection, discussion and activities which aim to help children to retain the stories and remember the Gospel message. They are recalled to the main body of the Church after the Prayers of the Faithful. Parents and grandparents are welcome to accompany children who might be nervous about participating.
The Children's Liturgy Group sing the hymns and do the readings at this Mass each Sunday. The group of children meet every Wednesday night from 7 to 8pm. Practice will recommence on Wednesday 13th January. The group are recruiting new members at the moment. Boys and girls who have completed senior infants can join.
