Balllymitty Handball
The finals of the juveniles tournament were played in Ballymitty last Tuesday night before a very large crowd. The standard of play was very good and aftei some very close games. The results are as follows
Boys under 12 winners were Eoin Roche and Darren 0 Neill. Runners-up were Ryan 0 Neill and Alex Moran. Boys under 15 winners were Dylan Scott and Dean 0'Neill runners up were Lorcon Breen and Quintan Kehoe.
The girls final really surprised everybody with the standard of play easily as good as the boys and after some very exciting handball the winners were Danielle Kinsella and Ciara Cummins runners up were Emily Moran and Becky O Neill. Presentation of prizes took place afterwards and everybody enjoyed some lovely refreshments
Dancing
Social dancing continues every Thursday night in Tir na nOG to raise funds for the building of a 40 x 20 Ball alley in Ballymitty with work to start sometime this year

Film Time: We are planning our next big Film Evening The Film we will be showing is called Brooklyn. Some of the film was based in Enniscorthy. Volunteers: Grantstown is looking for Volunteers. If you can give even one hour or your time per week, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for Minibus Drivers, Meals on Wheels drivers, Vehicle Drivers to transport Residents to Doctors or Hospital appointments.

Sympathy
Deepest sympathy is expressed to the Keary Family, Ballymitty on the recent bereavement of Michael. His remains were removed to Rathangan church on Wed last for mass at 2pm and burial afterwards in Rathangan Graveyard. May he rest in peace
Corach Ramblers FC
This week's Split the Pot took place in Tir na nOg, Wellington Bridge. The winner was Bernie McGee, Rospile, Foulkmills. Ticket was drawn by Phil Bishop. Winning a brilliant €876. Well done Bernie. Next week's draw takes place in Golfers Pub, Carrig on Bannow at 6.30pm.
Our A team beat Enniscorthy Utd B 9-1 in the cup today. It was their first game in 7 weeks. Scorers John Staples 3, Jon Reville 2, Richie Walsh 2, Rob Farrell 1, Barry Sinnott (pen). A good days work but tougher days ahead. The B Team lost 7-0 to Bridge Rivers in the cup.
The Ladies Team lost 1-0 to Pilltown in the Wexford Cup. This is the girls firsl loss of the season. Tough day at the office.

Strollers/Striders
Sunny South East Strollers/Striders-We meet every Monday evening at 7pm, (except Bank Holidays and weather permitting. We would like to invite anyone who would like to get out for a stroll/walk, who may have very low fitness levels. We have starter strolls for the month of January where we can start off with 10/15 minutes, taking small rests if necessary.
The Strider Group will also meet at 7pm and walk for 35-45 mins. We have a cup of tea/ coffee & most importantly a chat afterwards. Operation Transformation
Following the success of Operation Transformation in 2015, St. Anne's Coiste na nOg are running Operation Transformation again this year. An 8 week programme to improve your fitness & maybe lose some weight. There will be a one night per week group walking/jogging nights and Building up to a 5/10 km Walk/Run on weekend of 5th/6th March. There will be a Nutritional talk during programme also step monitors available for all participants. The programme is open to men and ladies. Each participant will receive a sponsorship card as this is the Coiste Club main Fundraiser for the year.

The Credit Union School Quiz will be held in Rathangan Hall on Friday 29th January. All welcome.

Scouts
A total of 111 beavers cubs scouts ventures leaders and families attended the Panto Snow White and Babes in the Wood at Dun Mhuire. It was a great night out and featured scout Josh Power and also William Troy from Kilmore. All sections are back and hard at work on their programmes. There is a fundraising breakfast for scouts on 6th March in Kilmore.
Women's Shed
On Monday 1st February there is a half day course on Positive Thinking and Healthy Mental Awareness with Martha Thorpe in the Shed from 10am-1pm. This course is open to anyone in the Community and is free. So why not come along to Tomhaggard social centre on 1st February. Everyone welcome

St. Paul's ac
Thanks to all who attended our AGM on Saturday. Outgoing chairman Leo Coy thanked everyone for their ongoing support of the club. Leo congratulated all our athletes and made particular reference to the world medal won by Ger, the Leinster Star Award won by Emma and our other All Ireland medal winners, Kieran Murphy, Daniel Halligan ,Tara Connick, Gergely Pap & Maeve Hayes. He also referenced the great improvement made by Sammy Delaney , Milan Kovacs and Rob Stirling. Leo made the decision to step down as chairman of the club, but will still remain coaching our athletes and remain on the committee. We would like to say huge thanks to Leo for all his hard work as chairman!
The committee for 2016 is as follows: Chairman-John Hayes, V. Chairman-Peter Connick, Secretary-Eamonn Owens, Treasurer-Leo Harte, PRO-Kieran Murphy, Registrar-Jelena Stephanova. Also at the meeting, awards were presented to some of our athletes.
