Camross Hall was filled with Christmas spirit on Tuesday December 13, as the staff and students of the school staged their annual Christmas Concert. This year's new venue was a fitting setting to showcase the wonderful talent we have in our school. The children fused the old and the new in a mixture of classic Christmas music, drama and poetry, not forgetting the all-important traditional nativity play, with a modern twist. All this combined created a spectacle for the proud family, friends and the wider community.
A raffle was also held to raise funds for the school with results as follows: 1st Prize Hamper Conor Mernagh, 2nd Prize Hamper Peggie Winters, 3rd Prize Hamper Mary Clancy, 4th Prize 2 Tickets for "A Quest before Christmas" Christina Ryder, 5th 2 Bottles of wine Josie Colfer.
We would like to extend our thanks to the Camross Hall Committee for their accommodation and generous use of facilities; to John and Anita Cullen for their continuous support providing musical accompaniment and sound; to Nash's Minibus Hire for providing transport to and from the venue for rehearsals; to all those who donated raffle prizes; and last but by no means least, to the stars of the show: the children of Caroreigh for their hard work over the last few weeks.
