Our Lady's Island

coffee morning

The monthly coffee morning takes place this Thursday, January 26, in Our Lady's Island Community Hall from 10.30 a.m. to midday. Look forward to welcoming you all as we start the New Year, tea, coffee, cakes and chat - all free.

GAA Lotto

There was no winner of last Tuesday night's lotto jackpot. Numbers drawn were 5, 11, 22 and 29. Well done to S & A Mullins (seller - A Mullins) who shared in the match-three numbers prize. Tickets available locally in usual outlets and through club members.

Ballycogley Players

The Ballycogley Players will present their 3-act play 'Lay Me Down Softly' by Billy Roche on Wednesday, February 8, in Our Lady's Island Community Centre and Friday and Saturday, February 17 and 18, in St Michael's hall, Thomas Street, Wexford, 8 p.m. nightly, admission €10. Looking forward to seeing you all there for our pre-festival performances and supporting us before we commence our 2017 drama circuit journey.

St Fintan's Ladies

Indoor training for St Fintan's under-14 girls will commence on Monday, January 30, in St Mary's indoor facility Tagoat, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. All new and returning players welcome. Split-the-pot

Congratulations to Ann Carroll, Tagoat on winning €183 in last week's split-the-pot draw. Draw takes place in the Community Hall on Sunday morning after Mass. Thanks to all involved.

Community Games

The Community Games area swimming competition which will be held in Ferrybank Swimming Pool on Sunday, February 12, at 10.30 a.m. Entry fee is €3 per child. Under-8s and under-10s will swim one length of the pool, under-12, under-14 and under-16 two lengths.

The ethos of Community Games is based on participation and fun, children of all abilities are welcome to participate so come along and give it a go.

Parent Toddler Group

The parent and Toddler Group is starting on Tuesday, January 17, in Rosslare Community and Sports Centre at 10 a.m.

Being a parent to a baby or toddler can be a challenging time, you can feel isolated from peers and need some adult conversation from time to time. You may also want your little one to interact with others but may not want to put them in a crèche......

Tidy Towns

Cliona Connolly from the environment section of Wexford County Council will be present at this week's meeting on Wednesday, January 25, at 10.30 a.m. in the Cois Barry Centre. Cliona will be talking to us about recycling and how it is good for your pocket as well as the environment. All are welcome so please come along bring a friend and who knows you might even get a cup of tea and bicky.

Spinning Classes - Probably the most fun while getting fit that you can have on a bike Tuesday morning 9.45 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. that evening also Thursday 9.45 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. come along and join in we promise no pot holes.

Chair Yoga

A six week course in 'Chair Yoga' that is suitable for levels of all ages, a great way to workout from the comfort and support of a chair including mindfulness and meditation. Starting this Tuesday, January 24, at 10 a.m. €8 pay as you go. For more info contact Eileen Rowe 087 6804279.
