Following his very successful cabaret last year, the community of Mulrankin are delighted to announce that Michael English and his band will be returning to Clayton Whites hotel this year on Thursday, November 30, in concert with special guest Brendan Shine. Tickets cost €22.50 and it promises to be another great night if last year is anything to go by.
We're very lucky to be part of Michaels concert tour this year, he's starting in the Olympia on October 11 and finishing with us in Wexford on November 30, all his concert tour dates will be advertised nationwide in the national papers and also through his own website so demand is going to be high.

St Fintan's autumn fundraiser, 'the F factor', will take place mid November. The club is currently looking for contestants who are willing to strut their stuff and show their talents on the night. There will be a lead up of various fundraising events which the different contestants will run off to raise funds for the clubs. Anyone interested in taking part or helping out in any way just get in touch with any of the club commitee or secretary Sharon Pettit. Organised by the Killinick and District Garden Club, the seventh annual Gardening Show will take place inside the Agricultural Museum at Johnstown Castle Gardens on September 9 and 10. The show is open to anybody who wishes to enter the various prize competitions for homegrown fruit, flowers, vegetables, herbs, preserves and flower arranging.

In thanksgiving for the harvest and the Lord's bountiful goodness, Mass will be held in Ballycogley Grotto at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 21, weather permitting. The choir will be present to add to the ceremonies and it is hoped that as many as possible can join together in this community celebration of faith.
The Hooley in T'haggard last Sunday to mark Fintan Murphy's 70th birthday raised €1155.26 in donations to his two community projects Tomhaggard Social Centre and Ballycogley Hall Development. Fintan says a big thank you to everyone who supported the Hooley, donated confectionery, helped out, Adrian Ryan for the brilliant music and those who contributed to the donation bucket. He's still on cloud 99.
The new scouting year is upon us. Registration Night is September 13 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. annual Registration Fee of €45 is payable to Head Office, can be paid on the night or over the next few weeks. Beavers 6-8 resume Saturday, September 16, Cubs 9-11 and Scouts 12-15 resume Wednesday, September 20.

St Fintan's Ladies
Another season comes to an end with twenty five girls registered two teams entered and a hair or two or either that just gone greyer.
This great bunch of girls had their ups and downs but loads of laughs also a big thank you for your continued support in bringing the girls to training and matches. Twenty girls turned up for last session and it was great to see... even tough most just wanted to have fun.
A big thank you to Alan, Chris and Ann Marie for their help throughout the season.We wish our 11 girls moving up a grade next season all the best and ye are all well capable and we look forward to seeing you all progress... And the rest of ye we hope enjoyed the season and we look forward to seeing Ye all again next summer.

AA Open Meeting
An open public meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous will take place in St Michael's Hall, Thomas Street on Thursday, September 14, at 8.30 p.m. This meeting is open to all and will include speakers from AA and Al-ANON.
The purpose is to provide information to individuals and/or their families who are concerned about the impact alcohol is having in their lives.
