Ballymitty NS Parent and toddler group every Wednesday and Friday 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. All Community members are welcome to come along with their toddlers. €2.50 per child. Tea and coffee available.
Dancing continues every Thursday night in Tír na nÓg with music this Thursday the 26th Dick and Ted. Starts from 9.30 all welcome refreshments served.
It's that time again to get a shoebox and fill it with gifts to send out to those who don't get anything for Christmas. Forms available at the PO and these need to be ready for collection on November 9.
GAA club notes
No jackpot winning of the lotto but congratulations to our three match-three number winners Emma Sinnott Bannow, Mairead French Grange and Nellie Rossiter Grange. Next draw Halloween night with a Hugh jackpot of €13,400.
Well done to our junior b squad on reaching the County Final on Friday last under the lights in St Patrick's Park. They were up against a strong Naomh Eanna team who dominated the game right from the start. Unfortunately it wasn't our day and lost by five points. Thanks to all the supporters who travelled and also to the team and their mentors David Currid, John O'Sullivan and Jason Sinnott.
The third annual race night and fancy dress that will take place in the Brandane Inn on Sunday, October 29, at nine o'clock. Horses are €20 each and can be purchased from Pauline 086 3534878 Tina 086 3719154 or Joeanne 086 3022840. This is a great night's entertainment and there will be prizes for best dress.

Danescastle Music Group
The Bannow CCE/Danescastle Music Group AGM will take place on Thursday, October 26, at 8 p.m. in Danescastle National School.
A fantastic crowd of over 100 people attended the historical talk by Dr Pat Wallace in Tír na nÓg on October 14. Dr Wallace spoke of his four decades as a member of the National Museum and the many archaeological advances. He was present at many digs including Wood Quay and the excavation in Wexford town.
His talk was very informative and pleasantly presented to all present. The society would like to thank Dr Wallace for a most informative talk.
The winner of this week's split-the-pot was Catherine Waters Foulksmills €742.
The next Sunday Cafe will take place on Sunday, October 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat or even share a few scary tales and yarns to go with the Halloween treats.
Monster Bingo is on Sunday, October 29, at 3 p.m. in Ballymitty Hall. €1,500 in prizes including Special page; €50 one line, €100 for two lines and €150 full house. Raffle and lots of prizes. Tea and sandwiches served.
Deepest sympathy to the Duffy family Cullenstown on the death of Elaine last week. Elaine was beloved daughter of John and Dolly and sister of Seán, Claire, Christine and Kathleen. Sadly missed by her loving family relatives and friends. Removal was on Monday, October 16, to the Church of Mary Immaculate and St Joseph, Carrig-on-Bannow with funeral Mass at 11 a.m., burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. May she rest in peace.

Hospice coffee morning
Coffee Morning in aid of Hospice Homecare takes place this Thursday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to midday in the Community Hall. Come along for tea, coffee, chat and a raffle. Your support for this very worthy cause will be much appreciated.
The Youth Club AGM takes place tonight, Tuesday, October 24. at 8 p.m. in OLI Community Centre. It is very important that at least one or both parents attend to give leaders full support with your son or daughter. We as leaders can only run Youth Club with the full support of parents. You will not be forced to fill any committee position unless you wish to do so. Please support.
Tonight's GAA Club Bingo jackpot stands at €550. Come along to Butler's at 8 p.m. to be in with a chance to take it home.

Cleariestown Community Playgroup will be having a Fundraising used clothing collection on Monday, November 27. Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes also bed linen, towels, curtains, shoes, bags, belts and soft toys. You can drop off any items at the playschool any weekday morning between 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
Anyone interested in going to the jnitting and Stitching Show on Saturday, November 11? The Women's Shed have organised a bus and there are seats available. They will be stopping on the way home for a meal. Contact Carol 087 2450655 for details.
The Women's Shed have a mosaic class under way and intend creating a wall mural depicting community life and history of Tomhaggard. They need strong coloured wall tiles, not beige, white, black, etc to do the designs. Contact 087 6858480 if you have any no longer needed.
The one-act journey continues for the Players when they will perform their 'Night of Comedy' on Friday, November 10, in St Martin's GAA Complex, Piercestown and also on Sunday, November 12, in Carrig-on-Bannow Hall with an 8 p.m. start time on both nights. Looking forward to seeing you all.

22 beavers from Kilmore joined approximately 150 others from around the county at an Emergencies Day in Piercestown Scout centre last Sunday. They received demonstrations, talks and exercises from Gardaí, Marine Watch, Coast Guards, Order of Malta, RNLI and a Fun Base also.
Ballycogley Players have been successful in sourcing a Grant to do Community Theatre in Tomhaggard social centre starting beginning of Nov. It's a 6/8 week course covering basic drama techniques, exercises, create a short piece for performance in Dec. Open to Secondary school students to senior citizens. Our Monthly Mega Money draw got off to a great start with Connor and Mathew McGovern winning €485 in our September draw. Envelopes are now available for our October draw from all players and from all leading local retailers. This replaces our weekly minute ticket draw and is key to funding the running and development of the club. Your support is appreciated.
Rose of Rathangan
Are you up for a laugh? come support our 'Rose of Rathangan' fundraiser on November 25 in Rathangan Bar. Tickets are only €5 or €10 on the door. Our season is now under way and we have introduced a new Academy (under-six and under-seven) on Sunday morning and under-eights on Saturday.
