We are very excited to announce that on Sunday, November 26, at 5.30 p.m. in the evening, the first public Christmas Lights in Rosslare will be switched on. All Welcome to come along.

Christmas Craft Fair

Befriending Group

The Befriending Group offers companionship to older people through weekly visits and telephone calls. Volunteers are trained by 'alone' volunteers are Garda vetted and reference checked we compliment other services such as home help, homecare etc., but do not replace them self-referrals and professional referrals are welcome. Congratulations to our first Syndicate, Leah, Conor and Megan Harper, who picked up €146, in our weekly draw.

Envelopes are available from Cushen's Tagoat, Nosh N Coffee, The Enterprise centre, The Lotus Restaurant, Turners Garage, Lollitots, Tides, The Bay, The Bay fish and chip, Centra, Cois Barry House, Kelly's Hotel Swimming Pool, The Pharmacy, The Hospital Shop, Seashells, The Enterprise Centre and our two new locations Wild and Native and Sami's takeaway and convenient store.

The next draw will take place in Tides on Friday, November 24. Can't be around, going away or even emigrating well you can still play using Multi Draw.

Cois Barry House

The Community House is now taking bookings for 2017 so if you want to hold a party or meeting etc, please contact David Clancy 087 7631605. Taekwondo is extending their classes on a Saturday morning: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Adults, 11 a.m. midday: Advanced students, 1 p.m. 2 p.m.: Beginner students. AA Meetings are on every Sunday Evening at 8 p.m.

Spinning Classes - Tuesday morning 9.45 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. that evening also Thursday 9.45 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. come along and join in we promise no pot holes.

Christmas Day Swim

An open meeting will be held in the backroom of the Bay pub and we request that anybody who can lend a hand on the day to please attend. Christmas Lights

On Sunday, November 26, at 5.30 p.m. in the main car park, we will hold the Official Switch-On of the Christmas Lights. Yes, that's right. Rosslare will have Christmas Lights this year and two special local children will have the honour of flicking the switch on the first ever public festive lights in Rosslare. We ask that for this family event, where possible, that people walk to the car park.

Please wear high-viz clothing and if possible bring a lighted lantern. Santa Claus, music and free sweeties for the kids and lots of other goodies. Special Thanks to Wexford County Council and to all the local traders who have made this possible. And so Christmas begins.

Tidy Towns

Tidy Towns Volunteers will be attending the Presentation of the South East Region Awards on Monday, November 20, at the Abbey Court Hotel in Nenagh. We will be very happy to receive our Bronze Medal and the other Awards that we achieved this year.

The following night we will be attending the Wexford County Council Environment Awards; this is an annual Event and is always a very interesting and enjoyable night. It reflects the very positive involvement of the council in all matters relating to the Environment and the entries are always very professional and a great source of encouragement and education.

Our next meeting is on Wednesday, November 22, at 10.30 a.m. at Cois Barry House, and then all our volunteers can see the Medal which reflects the great effort and work of the entire group.
