Joanne will be back in Raheen Hall on September 12 Names are now being taken for Colla Voice Performance and Music School's Musical Theatre Class. ST Abban's annual Patron
Our annual Patron Mass and blessing of graves took place on Sunday last in lovely weather. A huge gathering of people coming together to remember their deceased family and friends. Parish priest Fr Robert Nolan and parish priest Fr Jimmy Moyinhan celebrated Mass in St Abban's Church, many people remained at family graves and listened to Mass on the wonderful PA system provided.
Thanks to the choirs for their great contribution to the ceremony, also servers, eucharistic ministers, Cáit and Joe, John and the ladies for the flowers inside and outside the church. The cemetery looked splendid as always and thanks to everyone for their dedication and care of this holy place.
A sincere word of thanks to the following: the Cemetery Committee for their commitment and care of the cemetery and looking after car parking for the patron and on Funeral Days. Thanks to the Fás workers for keeping the grass cut and painting of the church walls and pillars over the past week's. Thanks to Joe and Ann Marie for painting the Cross and Calvary image in the graveyard. Lastly a huge thanks for the generosity of so many people in donating €2,810 on Patron Day towards the upkeep of our precious cemetery. God bless you all for your time and talents.
A Meals Delivery Service is available from Raheen FRC This takes place every Tuesday in Raheen, Clonroche, Adamstown and Newbawn area.
This service is available to people of any age from the community who would like a meal to be delivered to their home. The service can be used for a short term if necessary, for example when somebody is recovering from surgery or illness. Anyone wishing to avail of this service please contact Kay at 051 428805.

Bree Active Retirement
The September meeting of Bree ARA takes place on Wednesday, September 18, in Bree Community Centre. A trip has been arranged for the Arboretum and Rathwood at a date to be confirmed. Yoga Classes will take place in Bree Community Centre with Grace Reddington on Monday nights from 8.15 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. and on Thurswday mornings from 10.15 a.m. to 11.15 a.m. Sessions will begin on Monday, September 23, and continue for six weeks. A Fashion Show takes place in the Riverside Park Hotel on Wednesday, October 16, in aid of Bree Community Playground. Enniscorthy based shops 'Glamour' and 'Ottiva' are supplying the fashion, 'Perfection by Mon' the make-up and Liam Sharkey is MC for the night. Certificate In Pastoral Theology Spirituality and Practice - For the coming academic year, in union with the Carlow Institute of Technology, Wexford Campus, a course is being offered to those who would like to explore their faith better and take a more active role in parish leadership. The course will run from September 24., till April of next year. There is no requirement for previous study and the course is open to all. There are no exams and work will be graded by continuous assessment. Subjects covered by the course include Scripture, liturgy and sacraments, theology of God, theology of church, spirituality, pastoral theology and moral theology.
