Adamstown: Free Circus Skills - Raheen Family Resource Centre in conjunction with Wexford County Council Creative Communities programme intends running Free Circus Skills, carnival arts and street theatre workshops on the following dates: three evening workshops from 6pm to 7.30pm on Friday, June 28, Friday, July 5, and Friday, July 12.

There will also be a week long programme from Monday, July 22, to Saturday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily. At the evening workshops the participants will explore circus skills and drama games and help devise a theme for the week long workshops and showcase on Saturday the 27th.

At the week long workshops the participants will explore circus skills and drama games, create their own performances and get creative making props and costume pieces for the final showcase. The weekly '30' Card Game continues in the community centre this Friday, June 28, at 9 p.m. Thanks to the ladies for the tea last week. Catering on Friday the 28th will be: Gillian O'Neill, Edel Doyle, Ann Marie O'Shea and Geraldine Thorpe. Catering on Friday, July 5, will be: Breda Kelly, Valerie Kelly, Anne O'Brien and Eileen Moran. Catering on Friday, July 12, will be: Dympna Rochford, Mary Lawlor, Edel Crean and Marie Dunphy. Catering on Friday, July 19, will be: Ann McDonald, Una McDonald and Sinéad O'Gorman. Proceeds going to parish funds.

The following is the rota for looking after the church and Altars for the next 12 months, which was drawn up at Mass on Sunday last. Martial Arts Camps

Raheen Family Resource Centre will be running free Martial Arts summer camps in Adamstown Community Centre on the following dates.

Week 1: Monday, July 8, to Wednesday, July 10, 7-10 years. Week 2: Monday, July 15, to Thursday, July 18, 11 years upwards.

Participants will learn self-defence, self-awareness, boxercise and lots more. There will also be fun and games which will promote team building and confidence. The camp will be delivered by John Philips, who has a fourth Degree Black Belt. Sympathy

We extend our condolences to Ger and Christine Mackey and family, Glenour on the death of Ger's brother James (Jim) Tobergal, Boolavogue. Sympathy also to all his family. His funeral Mass was celebrated in St Cormac's Church, Boolavogue on Tuesday with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. May he rest in peace.

Golden Wedding Anniversary

Congratulations to Jimmy and Betty O'Shea, who recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. The couple marked the occasion of their Golden Wedding Anniversary with a meal in Whitford House Hotel surrounded by their extensive family. We wish them both many more happy years together. School summer disco

Calling all primary and pre-school children from Galbally, Ballyhogue, Bree, Glynn and surrounding areas.

Celebrate the start of the summer holidays with a disco in Galbally Hall on Friday, June 28, from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Admission is €3 per child. Shop available on the night. Parents welcome to stay for tea or coffee. Music by the very popular Wexford Mobile DJ.

Ballyhogue Ladies' Football

The club would like to wish best of luck to the under-14 girls' team in the all-Ireland Féile in Connacht on June 28. We would also like to say a huge thank you to everyone who provided sponsorship to the team for this trip. Many thanks for your generosity.

Scoil Mhuire NS, Ballyhogue

A big thank you to the parents' association who organised a barbecue for the pupils on Sports Day last week. Thanks also to Naomhan Rossiter from the Wexford Senior football team who came out to present the medals and chat to the students. Thursday was the annual school tour to Castlecomer Discovery Park in Kilkenny. The week concluded with the HB Fun Day on Friday the 21st in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland. All parents and members of the community are welcome to join us on Wednesday the 26th in the school for our Graduation Mass at 1 p.m.

Bree Community Centre Hub

Bree Community Centre is now offering for hire a standalone room/office area which is very suitable for a start up business. There are also 'hot desk spaces' for hire in the hub for any independent office worker. All enquires to Bridie Galavan at 086 8275943. Viewing is by appointment only.

Volleyball

Baby and Toddler Group gathering every Tuesday in Glenbrien Old School Centre from 9.45 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. This is an opportunity for young children and their carers (parents/grandparents/childminders) to meet. Joan and Friends

Joan Kavanagh and friends are organising a Charity Fun Run/Walk/Jog to be held on Sunday, July 14, at 4 p.m. in Oulart. It will start outside Oulart Hill Bar and the entry fee is €10 for adults and €2 for children. Proceeds will go towards the Cardiac Unit Wexford Hospital.
