Adamstown: Cards - The weekly '30' Card Game continues in the community centre this Friday, December 20, at 9pm. Thanks to the ladies for the tea last week. Catering on Friday the 20th will be: Maureen Bradley, Linda Duffy and Denise Harler.
Cards will take place on Friday, December 27, however there will be no catering on that night. Proceeds going to parish funds.
Card winners on Friday 6th were: Paddy Furlong, Séamus Wickham, Matt O'Neill, John Hanley, Séamus Joyce, Patsy Byrne, Richie Murphy, Pat Byrne, Denis and Maria O'Connor.

Community Centre News
The committee would like to say thanks to all who supported their cabaret on Saturday, December 7, in Cullen's Pub. To those who sold tickets, who sponsored the door prize and raffle prizes thank you. A special word of thanks to Dermot Hynes, who supplied the music. Happy Christmas to all.
Pantomime - Beauty and the Beast
Coláiste Abbáin presents Beauty and the Beast in the College Sports Hall from 29th - January 31, 2020. Starting at 7.30 p.m. each night. Admission: Adults €8. OAPs/Students €5 Children €2.50. Do come along and support the students and staff.

Na Fianna Clonard Hurling and camogie club AGM takes places on Monday, December 16, at 7.30 p.m. in Clonard Community Centre.
There is a Clothes Collection supporting friends of Calcutta (CHY No 13218) on Thursday, December 19, from midday to 4 p.m. in the car park of Clonard Community Centre beside the clothing bank. Glynn National School
Christmas Arrangements - December 17 and 18: Christmas play for third, fourth, fifth and sixth classes at 7.30 p.m. in the hall. On behalf of the school community we wish to thank the parish and hall committee for the use of their facilities. Tickets for the shows on December 17 and 18 (third class to sixth class) are on sale. Families of participating children will get first preference and will be limited to four per family. Any surplus ticket will be go on sale on Monday, December 16.
Christmas Jumper Fundraising initiative - December 19: The Students Council are organising a Christmas Jumper Day when children are encouraged to wear a Christmas jumper, hat, tie, T-shirt, etc. All proceeds will go to Crumlin Children's Hospital. Please donate as much or as little as you wish and do not go to any expense.
School Holidays - December 20: School closes at 12.30 p.m. for the Christmas holidays. January 6: School re-opens.
Parents' association - Please support the annual PA Christmas Raffle, which will be held on the night of the final show. Raffle cards are enclosed with this newsletter. Please return on or before December 18.
School Building - Building work on the new classroom and two new SET rooms will commence on January 6 the current fourth class prefab has been donated to Killurin Rowing Club. Between Christmas and summer, second class and third class will be in Room 11 (the present third class room) which will be divided in two and fourth class will go to room one (the present second class room). Apologies for the inconvenience. It is envisaged that all work will be completed before the end of August.

Many thanks to the following people for their kind donations at the recent table quiz in Jordans Murrintown: Ken Jordan, Andy Firman, Londis Shop Piercestown and John Price/Peadar Dempsey Breda Murphy, Ann Dempsey for organising and running the event and everyone on the night. There was €1,280 raised for the senior citzens Christmas party so once again thanks to every one involved.
There will be a hamper up for grabs on the weekend of December 20/21/22 in Londis Piercestown in aid of senior citizens Christmas party. Tickets will be on sale outside the shop that weekend - value of hamper is €150 - please support this worthy cause.
