The weekly '30' Card Game continues in the community centre this Friday, March 22, at 9 p.m. Thanks to the ladies for the tea last week. Catering on Friday the 22nd will be Callie Doyle, Angela Furlong and Louise Furlong. Catering on Friday, March 29, will be Marian Kelly, Catherine L Kelly, Catherine J Kelly and Mary Fortune. Catering on Friday, April 5, will be Eleanor Smyth, Emma Staunton and Bernie Conway. Proceeds going to Parish Fund.

Annual Lourdes Draw
Tickets are currently being sold in the parish for our annual Lourdes Draw which takes place on Palm Sunday, April 14. Hopefully we will raise enough money to send three parishioners to Lourdes this year. Any household may purchase up to four tickets, and draw is confined to Adamstown Parish.
Coláiste Abbain News
Under-14 Hurling Success - Congratulations to our under-14 hurlers who defeated Enniscorthy Voc School on a score line of 5-13 to 1-3. Great performances from all round from all the lads. Scorers were: Ryan O'Connor 2-6, Eoin Roche 0-5, Jimmy Connors 1-0, James Whitty 1-0; Jack Egan 1-0; Jamie Fitzpatrick 0-1 and Josh Kehoe 0-1.
Well done to our Music Department for organising a trad for Trócaire on Monday the 11th, they also fundraised in Tesco on Friday the 15th. We are also fundraising for our Lourdes trip, this year Sinéad Kehoe and Shane Finn will be representing the school. Our students also went on a Farm Walk to Kildalton Agricultural College on Tuesday last. A big thanks to Mr Lillis, who organised sponsorship for a school set of hurling gear from J P Murphy Brothers Ltd.
Basketball - the first year boys played Pres De La Salle, Bagenalstown in the South East quarter final. They got off to an extremely bright start, with some great team work and communication the game were in total control and came away winners 30 15. Well done everyone but standout performances on the day go to Philip Kearns, Owen Payne and Shane Roche. They take on St Ailbe's in the semi-finals next week.
New School Signs - A welcome addition to the road signage in the village is the new School Signs in the village just above the Primary School. Thanks to Wexford County Council for this work.
Pat Byrne Memorial Road Run
This will take place on Sunday, April 7. Registration at 11.30 a.m., start at 1 p.m. The route this year will take in the following townslands: Rathquile, Barmoney, Wilkinstown, Whitechurch, Blackhall, Lambstown, Corlican, Killurin, Shamowstand, Ballybrennan, Raheen, Chapel, Raheenduff, Adamstown. A distance of 32km. Back in the community centre at 3.30 p.m. approximately for food and raffle. All vehicles welcome. The total proceeds to Adamstown Parochial funds.
Coffee and Bingo Morning
Coffee/Tea, Toast and Novel Bingo morning in Adamstown Community Centre on Tuesday, March 26, from 10.30 a.m. 12.30 p.m.
This is an opportunity for older members of the community to meet and have some fun.
Adamstown Tidy Towns
National Spring Clean 2019 encourages people from all walks of life to take pride in their local environment and to take action against litter. With this in mind Adamstown Tidy Towns are organising a Spring Clean beginning the first week in April, Bags and Gloved will be available in Cullens Gala from Monday, March 25.
We urgently need volunteers for further information contact Lorna at 087 7631442. By volunteering you can take an active role in improving and maintaining your local environment, by making it a cleaner and more enjoyable place to live in. It also provides an opportunity to get involved with your local community and take action against all the litter that spoils our environment.
Barntown Bingo Bonanza

After the great success of our fundraising bingo night last month we are delighted to invite you to our second Bingo Night on Friday, April 5, starting at an earlier time of 8 p.m. in Mary Jo's.
Thank you to everyone who kindly gave their support to recent fundraisers for Barntown Community Playground.
O'Brien's Londis: Coffee sales and donations at O'Brien's Londis Food and Wine event raised €1,100 for the playground fund. A huge thank you to everyone at O'Brien's Londis for organising this fundraiser and gifting such great support for the playground.
Bingo at Mary Jo's: Bingo Bonanza raised €600 for the playground fund, great fun was had by all. A big thank you to Mary Jo's for hosting our event, to our spot prize sponsors and to our Bingo Caller, mayor of Barntown Tom Dempsey.

'Hands For Life'
'Hands For Life' Free CPR training will be available in Camross Hall on Monday, April 8. There will be three, ONE HOUR Sessions running 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. These free ONE HOUR sessions offer basic CPR skills training in your community and is delivered by an experienced Irish heart Foundation instructor. Participants must be over 18 and no assessment or certification is included. Booking is required at HandsforLife.ie. Wexford PPN has come on board to offer this training.
