Two very talented St Fintan's ladies took to the stage in the Wexford LGFA all stars talent show, Katie Wright sang candy in the first half followed by Niamh Murphy singing where only the rivers run, in the second half, the two girls sang beautifully and did our little club proud. Winners on the night were decided by public votes and a judges vote, Katie being picked by the judges will now go through to the final on Friday, April 19, in the Ferrycarraig hotel well done Katie, unfortunately in a shock decision Niamh didn't make the final but none the less was a winner to all her supporters on the night well done Niamh. All support for Katie on the night of the final will be greatly appreciated.
Mayglass National School
Well done to the boys and girls' teams from Mayglass NS who took part in the Spar 5-a-aside competition at ferrycarraig in the recent past. All team members played great football and represented their school, club and parish with pride. Our boys' team narrowly missed out on a spot in the final while our two girls' teams were forced to play each other in the preliminary round. Unfortunately only one team could progress to the final where they then played Castlebridge in a thriller. Mayglass proved too strong however and claimed top spot on the day by a 3-0 scoreline.
We look forward to a county final in the coming weeks and hopefully we can reclaim our county and Leinster titles from last year and with some luck make it back to the Aviva Stadium again this year. Good luck to all 16 girls on our extended panel, lots of training and hard work ahead.

Synopsis of the play: From age nine into her forties, Brenda is seen through the eyes of her eccentric and sometimes fiery family, particularly her willfully self descriptive father and her put upon and sometimes hot tempered mum. Hilarious scrapes erupt when Brenda's imagination and intelligence bump against the restrictions of Irish and English customs and society.
The play is a captivating and non-uncritical look at family life that features some wonderful roles. This year's cast (which involves both our old stalwarts and new members) look forward to your support with this production.

Under-14 Wexford Schoolboys League - Shelbourne 0 All Blacks 0 - Super result from the boys and girls against the league leaders very unlucky not to get all three points. Great football was played the brilliant thing that everyone noticed today is how hard this group worked together all 11 worked none stop. Everyone of them could have got Player of the match but that went to Kathlyn Boggan. Like to say welcome to Evan Rossiter, who played his first game today and as always thanks to the two girls (Kathlyn and Zoe). Well Done all again it was brilliant to watch and see the difference from first game of season.

Mayglass Aldi Play Rugby update.
Many thanks to all of the parents, children extended families and people of the parish who have helped us to collect our Aldi Play Rugby stickers.
We have exceeded all expectations in our quest for sticker collection. We are now starting to fill our FIFTH poster of 300 stickers which for a school our size is phenomenal, well done Ballymore-Mayglass parish. The more we enter, the more chances we have of winning the super first prize of €50,000.
So keep the stickers coming for the month of March and let's enter as often as we can. The competition runs till April 7 For our efforts so far we will receive a new kit bag, a set of four rugby balls, bibs and a set of drink bottles which will all go to good use. As a little maths challenge, see can you calculate how much we have spent in Aldi so far. Each sticker is worth €30. Each poster holds 300 stickers. So far we have completed four posters. The Killinick Project.
The Killinick Project in association with Kiely's Centra have carried out a short community survey. All the completed survey forms will be opened following the closer date of April 1 We felt that it was important moving forward to get the views and input from our local community.
The prospect of several grant receipts and other funding through Wexford County Council and other agencies in association with our local councillor's makes it is imperative that we know what is required by our community in order to grow, improve and enhance the village. We would like to thank Kiely's Centra and look forward to receiving your suggestions and views.
The St Fintan's adult football team took on Naomh Eanna in an all county football league div.2 game played in Ballymore during the recent past with both sides missing many regulars. Though the standard of football was poor both teams would have used the game in preparation for the upcoming championship. The final scoreline of 0-10 to 0-03 in favour of Naomh Eanna was just about a true reflection of how the game played out.
During the recent past Crossfinn Gaels played two games in the Wexford People under-17 hurling Roinn one South championship. In its first game the 'Gaels' took on Oylegate-Glenbrien and took the spoils on a scoreline of 1-15 to 0-06 but suffered a 0-13 to 2-06 defeat to St Anne's in its second game. Keep up the good work all.
