St Fintan's

Very important notice for club members and clubgrounds users. Please note there is a portaloo now on site to the graveyard end of new building next to container. This is a temporary fixture while the clubhouse redevelopment works continue. We wish to communicate to parents, as of this week, that children CANNOT be released from training/matches till they are collected from the pitch itself, likewise we ask that parents walk their children directly to the pitch for each session.

The car park is extremely busy every evening and with restricted space there is a real safety issue with children crossing and running through the car park.

Again to ensure child safety, children must be assisted across to the toilet during pitch sessions and how this is managed will be determined by each individual management team.

Child safety is our number one priority and we ask for your full assistance in ensuring same.

Tús Scheme Position; We are presently looking for a clubgrounds keeper/general worker. This is a Tús scheme position. Anyone interested must be on the live register for over 12 months.

Ladies' Football

The Junior A team opened their championship campaign in Ballymore against Ballyhogue, the girls started brightly but were showing a few nerves in front of the posts. With epic battles all over the pitch this was going to be a close game, at the break St Fintan's lead by one point 2-4 to 2-3. In the second half the nerves were gone and the girls pushed on taking some excellent scores originating from defence to midfield and forwards, great team work girls. Full Time St Fintan's 3-12 Ballyhogue 2-8.

Easter Walk/Egg Hunt

In ideal conditions the St Fintan's GAA Club held its Bank Holiday Monday Easter walk/Egg hunt at the club grounds Ballymore. While the adults did the walk on the track around the pitches the children had their fun on the pitches before setting off on the egg hunt. The club would like to thank all that supported on the morning.
