Oulart & The Ballagh
Rackard League success
Last Thursday night was a night to remember at Innovate Wexford Park as our Rackard League Team won the Roinn one Rackard League final 5-10 to 2-07 for the second year in a row, beating a Castlebridge team made up of the best hurlers in Castlebridge, Screen and Curracloe National Schools.
The boys showed great character holding their nerve despite being seven points down at one stage. They fought back with amazing determination and brilliant hurling skill to retain the title and be crowned Roinn one Rackard League Champions for 2018-2019.
A huge well done to all involved, the teachers, Mr Nolan, Miss Sinnott, Miss Wright Mr McDonald and Miss Barron and to the club's underage mentors for all the work that they do with the boys at club training. The time and committment that is given by you all is incredible and hugely appreciated.
We have a great School-Club link and with 365 hurling, we are all working together for the good of all the players. Over 20 years ago Oulart-The Ballagh won the Rackard League and at that time they won it three years in a row, 1994-95,1995-96,1996-97. Many of those players went on to play with our seniors hurlers wining 13 County Championships. Hopefully we can look forward to many more great days like last Thursday.
