Ballymurn: Christmas Fair - Thanks to everyone that supported the Transition Year Christmas Fair. It gave young people a chance to showcase their skills. Proceeds from the Christmas wreaths and Table centres went to St Vincent de Paul.
Deepest sympathy is extended to Bridie Murphy Kilmallock on the death of her brother-in-law Jim Bolger, Blackwater and Avoca. May he rest in peace.
Thanks to everyone that contributed to our parish notes this year and I would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy new year.

Na Fianna GAA
Na Fianna Clonard would like to offer deepest condolences to the Broaders family on the recent death of Nicky Broaders.
Split-the-pot winner was Paul Breen, seller James Gordon. Our first draw of New Year will be January 7. National Club Draw tickets are available from all committee members or online through our website nafiannaclonard.ie. Tickets are €10 each. All money raised from the sale of these tickets provides much needed funds to help run our club.
Our AGM was held on December 16, we had a large attendance at the meeting and our new committee was elected. Welcome to our new members to join the committee.
Clonard Guiding Unit
The girls made us all proud with their talents at our Carol Service and we raised €300 for the Wexford Oncology Unit. Winners of the raffle were: Blanket - Mrs Barry. Macaulay's hamper - Alisha (Brigins). Snowman Teddy - Áine (Guides)
Thanks to everyone who supported the fundraiser. The Brigins and Guides had a great time at the Rathnure panto, oh yes they did. Guides and Rangers tried ice-skating and the Cygnets and Brigins had a party to end the year off. See you all in the New Year.
Get the New Year off to a great start and head out to Kyle Forge on Sunday, January 5, for the first storytelling session of the year. Proceedings get under way at 8 p.m. and refreshments are also served.
The annual Sheridan Insurance Ferrycarrig 5 road race takes place on Sunday, January 5. The race will get under way at 1 p.m. This popular fundraising event will support the local Crossabeg-Ballymurn community centre development at Garrywilliam. The race will get under way from Wexford FC grounds at Newcastle, Crossabeg. Walkers, joggers, casual and dedicated runners are most welcome to this very popular event.

Barntown senior citizens party
The annual party takes place on Saturday, January 4, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. All interested in attending, please contact Ben Doyle at 086 8893268.
Our festive disco for first and second year students takes place on January 3 from 8.30.11 p.m. in the clubhouse. Fancy dress optional (festive/Christmas theme). Prize for Best Festively Dressed. Admission is by ticket only. Tickets at €5 are on sale on Saturday, December 28, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. or text the usual number after 7 p.m. on that date.
Santa at the Clubhouse
A little bit of magic came to the clubhouse last weekend with close to 100 children visiting Santa and Mrs Claus. Our thanks to all the elves who worked on or before the day and also to all who supported the day in any way.
Coiste na nÓg

Holidays: School re-opens on January 6
Split-the-pot: Glynn - Congratulatons to Sarah Keane, who won €232 this week.
School Building: Building work on the new classroom and two new SET rooms will commence on January 6 the current 04th class prefab has been donated to Killurin Rowing Club. Between Christmas and summer, second class and third class will be in Room 11 (the present third class room) which will be divided in two and fourth class will go to room one (the present second class room). Apologies for the inconvenience. It is envisaged that all work will be completed before the end of August.
I would like to extend sincere thanks to everyone for their contributions to the Glynn-Barntown district notes during 2019. Whether you send weekly notices or just the odd one, they are all very much appreciated. Thank you also to the readers of the notes and as always, I continue to value your feed-back. Shelmalier GAA Club would like to thank everyone who helped out with the recent Coiste na nÓg annual fundraiser bag packing in Dunnes Stores. There was no winner of the lotto draw for December 16 There were four match-three winners, Liam O'Connor, Tom Malone, John Carroll, Anne O'Hanlon, who each received €100. A prosperous New Year to all members and supporters alike.
Congratulations to the winners of the recent Curracloe school split-the-pot draw, Ger and Christine Morris, who won €104.50c. The next draw will take place on Wednesday, January 8, Thanks to all who supported the draw each week. Thanks also to Cloney's Supermarket, Donohoe's post office, Dune Hair Salon, Furlongs Roadhouse and Hotel Curracloe for selling the weekly draw envelopes.
