Open day at Artramon

The Crossabeg senior citizens committee met last week and expressed great satisfaction with the open day held recently at Artramon House and Gardens.

Yet again the weather held up for the hundreds who passed through the gates during the afternoon, to wander around the lovely lake side, visit the ever popular Fairy garden, admire the beautiful house and gardens, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and refreshments and then relax and enjoy the lovely music provided by the Wexford Orchestra. As well as that a group of set dancers also entertained during the afternoon.

First of all thanks are expressed to Countess Walderdorff and her wonderful staff for the use of her lovely premises, to all who attended and gave so generously to this fundraising event, to those who helped out with parking cars and directing attendees across the road to the house, to those who helped the committee with serving the refreshments, those who provided food and other necessary provisions, the members of the Orchestra and the dancers, and those who helped the committee set up and clean-up afterwards for the occasion.
