Musical

The Little Sea Musical Society invites you to come join them to open this year's Christmas Season with Mary Poppins Returns with Willy Wonka and Christmas Classics. An event for all the family with our Christmas Treats at the Interval.

Historical Society

Bannow Historical Society will hold their annual Christmas Dinner in Tír na nÓg, Wellingtonbridge on Saturday, December 7, at 7.30 p.m.

There will be a four course meal followed by some light entertainment, after which you can dance the night away or just relax and enjoy the music.

If you are a small group wishing to have a great night out do come along and join us. Great value at €25.00 and free raffle.

Brackens Barn

Brackens Barn would like to thank the community for their support and good wishes for our launch night on Sunday, October 13. A night to hand over proceeds raised was held on Saturday, November 23, to hand over cheques for €1,269 each to two great causes - The Hope Centre and Wexford Marine Watch.

Festive Tractor Run

After a very successful event over the last two years this event is taking place on Sunday, December 15, in Campile village. Travelling through the villages of Dunmain, Ballycullane, Saltmills, Fethard-on-sea, Templetown, Ramsgrange, Duncannon and finishing in Arthurstown with food served, compliments of the Kings Bay Inn. Registration at 4 p.m. €20 per vehicle.

Community Text Alert

A general meeting of Glenbrien Community Text Alert will be held in the Old School Centre on Monday, December 2, at 8 p.m. Please attend as important issues will be discussed such as security within the parish and the Garda involvement in the text alert scheme.

Margaret Quinn from Muintir na Tire will be in attendance and we also hope to have a representative from An Garda Síochána in attendance as was the case last year.

First Responders

Oylegate-Glenbrien Community First Responders went live with the National Ambulance Service on Friday, November 22. Volunteers from the local community will be responding to calls from the Ambulance Service for chest pain, stroke, choking and cardiac arrest. We would like to thank all of the local community and businesses who have supported us so far.

Also big thanks to our fellow CFR Groups in Monageer, Bray, Ferns and Craanford-Monaseed for their help and advice. We provide all of the training you need and no previous experience is needed. The Valda Chamber Choir and Piercestown church children's choir will present a beautiful evening of Christmas carols and songs on Monday, December 9, in Piercestown church. This is a fundraiser for the Saint Vincent de Paul Christmas appeal.

The Valda choir celebrated its 21st anniversary this year. They have performed in concerts all over Europe so we can look forward to a very special evening.

Remembrance Christmas Tree

This year the Christmas Tree in the church grounds will be for remembering our loved ones at Christmas, home or abroad, unwell or deceased. Personalised wooden ornaments to hang on the tree will be available to purchase for €5 at the community centre from Sunday, December 1, 12 six.
