Bree-Galbally: Ballyhogue GAA lotto. At the most recent draw of the Ballyhogue GAA lotto the following numbers were drawn were 5, 9, 16 and 27. There was no jackpot winner with the match-three prizewinners being Nicholas Doyle Ballymorris, Larry Cahill, Cathal Byrne, Lisa Harrington, Kathleen Pollock, Thomas Butler Macmine, Paddy Murphy. The next draw will take place on June 26 with the jackpot now standing at €2,400.
Bree ARA Social
The next Bree ARA social will be held on Wednesday, June 19. Nicola from Kilcannon Garden Centre will demonstrate summer basket planting. Have your gardening questions ready. The demo by Nicola will be followed by bingo and tea. Enquiries to 086 0747823.
Bree Youth Club
The AGM of Bree Youth Club will be held on June 26 at 8 p.m. in the hall. We would like to welcome everyone to attend and for information regarding committee nominations to contact a member of the current committee.
Bree ICA are holding their monthly meeting in the community centre on Tuesday night the 18th at eight o'clock. We would love to see some new members joining us, you would be more than welcome.

Scoil Mhuire NS Ballyhogue
A big well done to all our students who took part in our Active School Week Monday, June 10 - Friday, June 14. Great fun was had by all despite the weather. The students enjoyed yoga, kickboxing, GAA, swimming and a kettlebells session with Colette Butler. The week concluded with a cake sale which was organised by the parents' association. Thank you to all who supported us during the week..
Bree Vintage Club
Bree Vintage Club will host a tractor run on July 21. This year's run will be in aid of Relay for Life, Wexford. Registration begins from 11.30 a.m. with the run leaving at 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend and support.
Proceeds from Charity CD
Hope Cancer Support Centre, Enniscorthy were recently presented with a cheque for three thousand euro from proceeds from the sale of Keep on the Sunneyside, made and performed by local man Peter Hughes, Galbally. Peter would like to thank all who supported the CD in any way.
The annual Galbally patron will take place on Sunday, June 23, with prayers commencing at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served afterwards in Galbally Sports and Leisure Club, giving parishioners and visitors an opportunity to meet and chat. Donations of baked goods would be greatly appreciated and volunteers to help are very welcome. If you can help, please contact Dawn at 087 8306206.

Bree Athletic Club
It was a successful day at day one of the Leinster Athletics Championships for Bree AC. Under-11 PJ Breen and Jayden Kenny won gold in both Long Jump and 60m sprint pairs competition. under-11 Leá Bolger and Sophie Sinnott took bronze in the long jump pairs competition. The under-10 pairing of Shane Laffan and Billy Doyle also lept to new heights taking the bronze in their pairs long jump. Shane Laffan was also a member of the inter-county under-11 winning relay team. Great performances on the day also by Hazel Breen, Ruth Hassey in the under-10 pairs and Ciara Laffan, who made sprint semi-final and Cian Donovan on making final of both 60 and 600m.
BARNTOWN COMMUNITY CENTRE
Community Event - Save the Date On Monday, June 24, Barntown Community Centre will host an 'Open Night' at 7.30 p.m. Community Centre plans will be on display from 6 p.m. and refreshments will be served. Come along, hear about the development project and have your say. The centre really needs everyone to be part of this important community event. Split-the-pot: Congratulations to Tommy Byrne, who is the latest winner of our split-the-pot, pocketing €147. The next split-the-pot will be on Monday, June 17, in the school.
Active School Week: Last week we had a very successful Active Schools Week so thank you to all our pupils for their participation.

Our under-14 Green camogie team had a fantastic run in the National Féile regional tournament last weekend. The girls won all three of their preliminary games aswell aa the semi-final but were unfortunately beaten by Craughwell Galway 3-3 to 1-5 in the final. Great achievement nonetheless and we are full of pride for them-well done all.

Congratulations to our under-13 footballers who had a comfortable win over Duffry Rovers on Thursday evening.
Well done to Michael, Darragh and the Wexford Minor hurlers who defeated Laois in the Leinster Quarter final in O'Moore Park last Saturday.
Hard luck to Matt and the Wexford Senior footballers defeated by Derry on Sunday. Well done to Mark and the Wexford Senior hurlers who advance to the next round of the championship following their win over Carlow.

Hospice coffee morning
Our May coffee morning in Oylegate Community Centre in aid of Wexford Hospice Homecare raised a total of €5,060. This wonderful outcome is thanks to the great generosity, co-operation and support of so many people in our community and beyond. Sincere thanks to you, one and all.

Bingo In Mernaghs
The bingo in Mernaghs is now being run to raise much needed funds for the Community First Responders, bingo commences at 9.15 on a Thursday night and all support for this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to Leinster champion, Ryan Cullen on winning a Silver medal in the all-Ireland Final that took place in the National Stadium, Dublin, on June 8.
Well done also to the Ballagh Boxing Club's other Leinster championship winner, Aaron Kirwan-Doyle, who was unlucky not to have advanced to the all-Ireland Final. The club and parish are extremely proud of the exploits of these two up-and-coming, talented pugilists.

Oulart-The Ballagh under-14 hurlers had a very successful and enjoyable weekend in Cork, participating in Féile na nGael 2019. Midleton GAA Club were hosts to Oulart-The Ballagh and their welcome and hospitality was second to none.
Our boys represented their families, their club/parish and their county with pride and dignity, were respectful and disciplined and put in some great performances only to bow out of the competition in the semi-final of the shield competition.
Thank you and well done to team-manager Philip Rossiter, selectors Alan O'Connor, James Roche and Dean O'Connor, who have done fantastic work in preparing and coaching the players and to Pauline Roche, who looked after First Aid requirements.
Well done also to Coiste na nÓg chairperson Elizabeth Freeman and her committee who ensured that everything was organised successfully and thank you to everyone who contributed to the fundraising and sponsorship efforts that ensured that the panel was well kitted-out for Féile.
Congratulations to Jason Rossiter and Ben Harpur, who played with the victorious Wexford Primary Schools' Rackard League team in the Leinster 'Lift and Strike' competition that was held in Carlow last Wednesday. The competing counties were Wexford, Laois, Kilkenny and Offaly.
Four Oulart-The Ballagh boys are involved with the Wexford under-14 Development squad-Dylan Butler, Simon Roche, Lee Doyle and Conor Blake.
GAA Development Draw
The May prize-winners in the Oulart-The Ballagh GAA Development Draw are Eithne Dunne and Family (€100), Johnny Murray (€50), Dan and Majella Doran (€50).
The numbers drawn on June 10 were 1, 7, 26 and 32. The Bonus number was 29. The prize-fund stands at €13,000. There was no jackpot winner. The lucky-dip winners of €30 each were Leslie Creane, Brian Sinnott, Phil Redmond, Aidan Moran and TJ and Megan c/o the Sawdust. The next draw will be held on June 24.
