November Pious List: During the month of November, we remember and pray at all Masses in the parish for those who have died and are listed on our November (Pious) Lists of the Dead. We invite your family members to gather together to fill in the Pious List for your deceased loved ones. The ones you remember may be your own family members, or friends of your family, or others you know who may have no one to pray for them. Envelopes and Pious Lists are available either in the Main Church or the Porch outside the Day Chapel, they are also available in your weekly envelope box. Please return them to the sacristy or parish office as soon as possible. Pious Lists will be placed in remembrance by the Altar at all Masses.

Life After Loss
Are you experiencing the pain of loss? Clonard Bereavement Support Group would like to offer you an opportunity to Explore the journey of grief and loss. Seek understanding and support. The Clonard Christmas Fair is on December 7 and 8. We are looking for unwanted gifts for the Wheel Of Fortune, books for the book stall and bric-à-brac in good condition for the Christmas fair, no broken items please. If you have items, you would like to donate please drop them off in the community centre from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Wexford Hospice Homecare Committee would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported the coffee mornings nationally for hospice together with Bewleys. This year an amount of €18,045 was raised. All funds raised at the community events will be used to benefit and enhance the local services of Wexford Hospice Homecare. Clonard Community raised €2,005 of this figure.

SVP Christmas Appeal
The annual St Vincent de Paul Christmas appeal takes place in all churches of the diocese of Ferns on the weekend of December 7/8. For some, Christmas is the most worrying time of the year. Gratitude is expressed for your consistent generosity down the years. Your support has saved some from a lifetime of poverty.
Clonard Guiding Unit
The Guides had a fun trail along the town with a challenge to plan and budget for a meal and night in. The girls enjoyed treats and hot chocolate on the way. The girls would like to say a big thank you to the library and Tec Central for allowing them to take part in the comic life workshops that allowed the girls to gain skills in IT the Cygnets are busy with nature and road safety and the Brigins are busy with getting ready for the festive season.
Glynn Community Hall
Join us at our Christmas Bazaar after 10 o'clock Mass on Sunday, December 15. All the usual novelties including wreaths, cake stall, bottle stall, bric-à-brac, toys etc. There's something for everyone in the family. See you there.
Barntown Heritage Group
Barntown Heritage Group is over the moon having recently received Joint second prize, Best New Entrant category, in the Wexford County Council Keep Wexford Beautiful Awards. We extend a huge thank you to all volunteers in the community who have helped keep Barntown beautiful during 2019 and always.
In celebration of Barntown, Barntown Heritage Group has created Christmas Cards with festive images of the village area and stonework sign. Cards for sale, contact Mary Louise at 087 1489445. All proceeds towards Barntown Heritage Group projects in the community.
Barntown Community Centre
There was a great turnout at Barntown Community Centre last Tuesday for the coffee morning and Social Gathering organised for the more senior members of our community. Following hugely positive feedback, it is intended that another such gathering is on the cards, hopefully before Christmas. Thank you to everyone who turned up - our spirits were lifted to see you all - despite the bad weather.

Badminton continues in the community centre every Monday and Thursday night at 7 p.m. All levels from Beginners to Advanced players are welcome. Play for fun, or be competitive, the choice is yours. All equipment provided.

Well Dance and Movement (for seniors)
Following on from a successful coffee morning in Barntown Community Centre recently, an exciting new activity is about to happen for the more senior members of our community. Please join Saoirse, for a session of 'Well Dance and Movement' at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, November 26 (and every Tuesday) in Barntown Community Centre.
Combining Music and Movement is a recipe to feeling wonderful. This class will guide you through a some simple, gentle, modern dance movements and exercises to music, which help to improve balance, fluidity, flexibility and strength. Saoirse is a recent graduate from Inchicore College of Dance/Dance Teacher Training and has also completed her first year of Exercise and Fitness Training with university of Limerick. Introductory offer €3. Don't miss out - get to the session - and yes, there will be chairs to take a breather (just in case you need).

Congratulations to Glynn NS boys Mini 7s footballers who captured the A title with a super win over Kilanerin last week. Well done to Mr Barron and Mr Lynch for all their hard work.

Our Senior GAA AGM will take place on Friday, November 29, at 8 p.m. in the clubhouse.
On the Pitch: Congratulations to the boys who the final of the Mini Sevens. They defeated Kilanerin in a close fought final. This is the first time in the history of the competition that the school has won the Mini Sevens in either code, boys or girls. The girls Mini Sevens team lost out narrowly in the semi-final stages.
Our boys lost an epic final to in the Rackard league A Football. Well done to all concerned. Hard luck to Our Rising Stars team lost out narrowly to Bannow in the semi-final.
Split-the-pot: Congratulations to Erin Ryan, who won €200 in the latest split-the-pot.
Calendar: Alan Roche Photography is producing a 2020 calendar with 50% of the profits going to to support the school development fund again this year. Last year's calendar was an enormous success so we hope you will support it again this year. The calendar is a high quality, ringbound A3 size, with photos from Glynn and the surrounding areas. A copy is also available to view on Alan's Facebook page (Alan Roche Photography). In order to gauge how many calendars we need to order, please fill in the expression of interest form, and hand back into the school office or contact Aisling at 086 4034597. The cost of the calendar will be €10 payable on collection.
Clothing Collection: Please donate your unwanted items of clothing to raise funds for Glynn NS Development Fund. Please drop off items before 10 a.m. to Glynn Hall on Monday, December 9. We accept all re-usable, re-wearable clothing, shoes, coats, bags, sheets, blankets, towels and soft toys. We cannot accept duvets or pillows. Thank you for your support.

Shauna's School Run: Glynn NS was delighted to host Shauna's School Run from the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show which was broadcast on Thursday, November 21. The podcast is available on the school website.
Debating: Our debaters continue debating the motion that primary school children should not have mobile phones. Last Friday they opposed the motion.
Sing out Loud: Well done to our fifth and sixth classes who participated in Sing out Loud. Many thanks to the teachers for their time in preparing the children.
BAMBINELLI SUNDAY - It's only three weeks away. An invitation will go to each child in the parish to bring the figure of the baby Jesus from their crib to weekendMasses to have Him blessed before Christmas. An olive wood Christmas tree decoration - which I blessed at Mass in Bethlehem recently - will be given to each child at the Mass.
Festive gatherings are planned for both Glynn and Barntown after the 10 a.m. and 11.15 a.m. Masses on the day (December 15). Will keep you posted. Parents and grandparents are invited to begin discussion of the celebration with their children and grandchildren.

MEMORIAL MASS - Fr Ketema will celebrate the 10 a.m. Mass in St Aidan's Cathedral on Wednesday, November 27, for the repose first the soul of Fr Raguel Olika Hika.
Fr Raguel served in the diocese of Ferns - on summer placements - in St Aidan's Cathedral, in Riverchapel and in Barntown from 2005 till his death in August 2016. Fr Raguel and Fr Ketema are of the one diocese. Both worked together in St Paul's Seminary (Addis Ababa) till Fr Raguel's untimely passing. Fr Ketema is currently attached to the Catholic University of Addis Ababa. He served in Ferns Diocese (2003 to 2006). May he gentle soul rest in peace.
