Well done to our under-eight camogie team who competed in the All County Blitz in Ferns on Saturday playing four great games against Ballygarret, Fethard, Adamstown and St Ibar's/Shelmaliers. The girls also had a very special visit from club chairperson Georgina Roche and her daughter Grace on the way to the all-Ireland under-16 camogie semi-final where Grace lined out at midfield. Unfortunately on this occasion Grace and her teammates were denied a place in the all-Ireland final but we are most of their achievements this year.

COISTE NA NÓG

Our boys got off to a positive start and their excellent, composed approach saw them lead by 0-8 to 0-4 at the interval. The boys surged ahead in the second half with strong indiviual and collective performances they took the win 0-18 to 0-8. Well done lads.

LADIES FOOTBALL

Our under-14 Blue ladies' football team were unlucky during the week as they came head to head with Kilanerin in the Division 4 Shield Final.

In what was their toughest match to date, Glynn-Barntown had a strong first half, taking the lead at half time.

Kilanerin however, not to be deterred, came back fighting in the second half and managed to pull the scoreline level with two minutes to full time. Despite our girls fighting back, giving it their all, Kilrush scored the winning point from a free.

Final Score: Glynn-Barntown 2: 06 Kilanerin 2: 07.Thanks to all the parents and supporters who, despite the weather, came out to cheer the girls on. Thanks to Aoife for the report.
