Funding for C & S Centre/golf club
It's been a good news week for Rosslare Strand. The community and Sports Centre has secured funding of €32,189 through the Sports Capital Expenditure scheme to carry out much needed refurbishments to the tennis courts. Sincere thanks are due to Cllr Ger Carthy, whose continued support and representation has been instrumental in securing this grant. Thanks too to Minister Paul Kehoe and to Cllr Jim Moore for their input.
Rosslare Golf Club have also been successful in their bid to secure funding through the Scheme; a grant has been allocated to help finance irrigation works to the course.
We are currently seeking volunteers to act as befrienders. Volunteers have found it to be a hugely enriching experience, as beneficial to their own wellbeing as that of the people visited. If you think you might have an hour or so to contribute every week, please consider becoming a Befriender. To find out more, call us at 085 8526866.
