BCD is delighted to announce their annual Christmas event on Sunday, December 1. Christmas in Bridgetown over the last few years has seen our community come together, in a special way to light up our community Christmas tree, and share the spirit of Christmas with friends and neighbours.
This year we hold our event at the AOH Hall. We will start with a bazaar, local crafts, tea and refreshments, mulled wine, etc. Bottle stall, wheel of fortune, raffles, chat, stories, and some Carol's for all to join in.
We will then walk to the 1916 Garden with the help of Santa and light up our community tree. This part of course will be weather permitting, and we hope to sing Carol's on our journey to our tree.
Santa will make his annual visit and with his special fairy dust and count down magically light up our community tree, he will then pass out some gifts for the kids.
Anyone wishing to get involved in this special day please contact the group. We have limited space for anyone wanting to display crafts and produce and tables are been snapped up with great response so far. Some of our display will be from crafty ladies, Men's Shed, Bridgetown Vocational School students, FDYS Carol singers interested in taking part please let us know.
Christmas in Bridgetown is a free community event. We hold it in association with Wexford County Council and BCD and local businesses. We look forward to seeing you all on this special day.
