Fun Variety Concert
Our Lady's Island is the place to be next Saturday, November 30. at 8 p.m. We have a wonderful line up for you, singers, dancers, comedy, and fun fashion show with some very interesting females? A night to have a good laugh and a night you will certainly remember. Tickets €5 All proceeds in aid of parish funds.
Light up Lady's Island/Christmas Market
We are having a big Christmas Market on next Sunday, December 1, noon 6 p.m. with all kinds of stalls, handmade gifts, games, music and dancing and of course Santa will be arriving by unusual transport and we will have the turning on of Christmas lights for the very first time in the Island and bring the whole community together. Mrs Clause will be arriving at 4 p.m. to read stories and have milk and cookies for all children. Hope you will join us. All stalls are booked now, thanks to all stall holders.
Remembrance Christmas Tree
This year the Christmas Tree in the church grounds will be for remembering our loved ones at Christmas, home or abroad, unwell or deceased. Personalised wooden ornaments to hang on the tree will be available to purchase for €5 at the community centre from Sunday, December 1, 12 six. Prayers for the names on the tree will be offered at Mass on Saturday, December 21, 7 p.m. For more information contact Teresa at 087 0541606.

Christmas Carol Concert
The Valda Chamber Choir and Piercestown church children's choir will present a beautiful evening of Christmas carols and songs on Monday, December 9, in Piercestown church. This is a fundraiser for the Saint Vincent de Paul Christmas appeal.
The Valda choir celebrated its 21st anniversary this year. They have performed in concerts all over Europe so we can look forward to a very special evening.
Piercestown Scout Group are holding a Christmas Collection as a community event and they will all receive a Community Merit Badge for their efforts. They will collect all non-perishable Christmas goods, e.g. or even toiletries. All items will then go into the gift parcels distributed by SVDP in our local community for Christmas.
Collections will be on the following dates: Friday, November 29, at 2 and 3 p.m. at the hall - we hope all school parents will support us too. Saturday, November 30, at 7 p.m. just before Mass, and on Sunday morning December 1, after 10 a.m. Mass outside the church. Your support will mean such a lot to the young members of our Scouting Group and also by the SVDP local committee who are delighted with our gesture.

There was no jackpot winner this week. There was two match-three winners. The winning numbers were 9, 15, 28 and 31. The winners were Catherine Meyler and Pauline Moore. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday, November 26, and the jackpot now stands at €5,400.

St Vincent de Paul
The annual St Vincent de Paul Christmas appeal takes place in all of the churches of the diocese of Ferns on the weekend of December 7/8. For some Christmas is 'most worrying time of the year.' Gratitude is expressed for your consistent generosity down the years. Your support has saved some from a lifetime of poverty.
Christmas Tree Lights
The Christmas Tree Lights will be switched on in Duncormick on Saturday, December 7, at 8 p.m. There will be carols, music and light refreshments and Santa will drop by for a visit.
Breast Cancer Fundraiser
A fundraiser in aid of Breast Cancer will be held in Tír na nÓg, Wellingtonbridge, on Friday, December 6, at 8 p.m. A great night of music and dance with 'Green Road and DJ Julie' - Christmas Dress Encouraged Raffle and Spot prizes. No entry fee - donations on entry. All proceeds Irish Cancer Society.

Rathangan Parish Council
Rathangan parish council wish to thank everyone who helped and supported our bingo on Sunday, November 10. Our next bingo is on Sunday, December 1, at 2.30 in Rathangan hall. The snowball will be €500 in 46 numbers. Also our Country Music Festival will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2020. Tickets will be on sale for this on December 1. Watch this space for more details soon.
