Our Lady's Island - Story Night: Storytelling Night in Tacumshane Old School, this Friday, March 1, at 8.30 p.m. Come along, sit back and enjoy the talent, music, song and storytelling. Tea, coffee and cakes at interval. A great night's entertainment promised.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga with Eileen Rowe, suitable for all ages, continues every Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Butler's Lounge.

GAA Bingo

Our GAA Bingo continues each Tuesday in Butlers Lounge at 8 p.m. with tonight's jackpot standing at €750. We hope to see you there.

St Paul's AC

Last Friday, February 15, the Wexford Athletics Awards Night for 2018 was held in the Riverside Hotel in Enniscorthy. We had three of our athletes receiving an award for representing Ireland at International level. Gergley Pap competed in the SIAs in Edinburgh in July, Maeve Hayes travelled to Glasgow for the SIAs Combined Events in November and Ger Maloney competed in the British and Irish Master's Cross Country in Swansea also in November and all three returned with medals. Congratulations and well done to all three athletes, St Paul's AC is a small club and to have three athletes representing Ireland is a great achievement and testament to all the hard work and training they have put in throughout the year. Training continues Mondays and Wednesdays at the Track in Rosslare Strand, new members welcome.

Community lotto

There was no winner of last week's jackpot of €3,000. The winning numbers were 23, 28, 29 and 32. There were two match-three winners who received €100 each. The winners were Kathleen Clegg, Helen Byrne. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday, February 26, and the jackpot now stands at €3,200.

PJ McCall Musical Evening

Wednesday, March 6, marks the day of PJ McCall's death, a century ago, in 1919, and the day of his birth in 1861. To mark the double event, a musical evening will take place at Rathangan Bar on Wednesday, March 6, from 8 p.m. Events will include songs, music and stories of PJ McCall, along with memories of the Eigse PJ McCall, that so enlivened Rathangan from 1981-1986. This promises to be a great night for young and old. Admission Free.

Table quiz

Duncormick Area Action Group and Tidy Towns Committee will hold a table quiz in Sinnott's Pub on Friday, March 8, at 9 p.m. Tables €20. Refreshments served.

Duncormick Tidy Towns

It's that time of year again, when we begin preparations for the Tidy Towns Competition. Please help us in keeping the village and environs clear of litter. We will have the first clean-up in March, more details to follow.

Rosslare Tidy Towns

Rosslare Strand FC

Rosslare Strand FC will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a dinner dance on Friday, April 19, at 8 p.m. at Coast Rosslare Strand. We are calling on all past and present players, officials and supporters to come and help us celebrate this tremendous milestone. With music provided by Wrecking Ball, tickers are priced at €30 and can be purchased from all club officials. GAA Notes

Memberships are now due for all teams. Please sign your registration form, and return with payment to the Team Manager.

Our lotto stands at €20,000 and tickets can be bought from committee members and around the locality. The numbers for February 19 were 1, 2, 4 and 18. No winner. Match-three winner was Stephen Kelly. Next draw is February 26 in the clubhouse at 8 p.m.

Our Nursery continues this week for four - six-year-old boys and girls in the clubhouse in Tagoat at 10 a.m. up to Easter. All are welcome to attend this fun activity about balan​ce and co-ordination.

Our under-six and under-eight camogie girls will start training on Saturday, March 2, from 11.30 to 12.15.

Our under-11 boys will continue Hurling and football training Friday 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to noon in Tagoat. Jimmy Wickham is our team manager: Contact .087 3440732.

Couch to 5k

A six-week programme taking you from Couch to 5k. First session starts on Wednesday, February 27, at Rosslare Sports and Community Centre.
