St Mary's camogie
Our under-12s put up a great fight but ultimately lost out to Monageer-Boolavogue in last Sundays final. The girls started well against strong opposition. No matter how hard the girls tried they couldn't get the break and the little bit of luck they needed. The final scoreline was 3-03 to 0-01. The girls have had a fantastic season and topped their group on the way to getting to the final. There were 24 players on the panel: Eimear, Aoife, Anna, Mollie, Eabha, Sophie, Izzy, Emily, Doireann, Aoibheann, Caoimhe, Ella, Jess, Lucia, Ashley, Saoirse, Orla, Ally, Kate, Katie, Chloe, Emma, Lauren and Aoibhe. Chin up girls. Keep playing and your day will come.
Our junior team, Kilross Gaels, have reached the county semi-final and will play Taghmon in Rathnure on Sunday the 22nd at 2.30 p.m. Why not come out and support the team and help them reach a county final. The team would really appreciate your support. €5 charge on the gate for adults. The ladies beat Oylegate in a thrilling match to qualify for the semi-final. Final score: Kilross Gaels 3-15 Oylegate 4-03. Well done.
The under-10s had a practice match against Davidstown in Tagoat and won by the narrowest of margins. On Sunday the 22nd the girls are in action in the county final against Oulart-The Ballagh. The match is in the Ferns centre of excellence. Throw in at 10.45 a.m. with all support greatly appreciated. There is a €5 charge for entry for adults with under-16s in free.
