Camogie club news
The under-16s (Kilross Gaels) played a competitive practice match against St Anne's and came away with a win. The girls are all set now for their next championship match against Horeswood in Kilmore on Friday, September 13.
Our under-14 team wish to thank Brian and Louise O'Hagan and all at O'Hagan Cooling and Refrigeration for their sponsorship of a new training kit this week. The support from Brian and Louise is very much appreciated.
The under-10s had a practice match away to Oulart. Unfortunately Rhian broke her finger but in true brave fashion played on. Rhian is our true superhero. All at the club wish Rhian a speedy recovery and hope to see her back on the pitch playing camogie very soon. Despite a really determined performance from the whole team we lost out to Oulart. The girls are preparing for their final on September 21 in Ferns.
The under-14s put up a fantastic performance in their semi-final against Oulart but lost out narrowly at the end. Every player gave their all and we were really unlucky not to bag a couple of goals near the end. Every girl on that panel should be really proud of themselves for what they achieved all year and in this match. It was a great club occasion in Tagoat with a large crowd present to watch.
