Congratulations and well done to Ciara Martin, who competed in the South Leinster Schools Championships in Carlow last Thursday representing Presentation Wexford.
Ger Maloney was also in Cross Country Action last weekend competing in the Irish Life National Intermediate and Masters Championships where he was fifth O'55 and 71st overall.
We wish Maeve Hayes, Dankia Gilshinan and Ciara Martin the best of luck this weekend in Day 1 and two of the Juvenile Leinster Indoor Championships in Athlone.

St Mary's GAA
Our Jim Byrne Football team have work very hard in January and have being very competitive against teams who will be playing in higher divisions in the championship. This has paid off with a good win over Duffy Rovers on Sunday February 3 on 1-13 to 0-8 score line. They will play their next match in Tagoat on February 17 at 11.30. It has being great to see our own team compete in the Jim Byrne Cup for the one sttime in over 20 years.
We are holding our registration day for all underage teams on Sunday February 17 in our clubhouse in Tagoat at 11 a.m. You will get to meet team managers on the day. We look forward to a big turnout on the day. Registration is €40 per child.
Our lotto is €20,000 and tickets can be bought off committee members and around the locality. The numbers for February 5 were 1, 19, 21 and 28. There was no jackpot winner. Match-three winner was Dianne Sinnott. Next draw is on February 12 in the clubhouse at 8 p.m.
Environmental Group news
Rosslare Harbour-Kilrane Environmental Group will be holding a fundraising table quiz on Thursday, February 28, at 8 p.m. in the Railway Social Club, €20 per table of four. On the night there will be a raffle and spot prizes.
Wexford County Council Community Grants are now available to apply for under the Amenity and Arts Grant Scheme 2019 and the residents' association Grant Scheme 2019. Application forms and details are available from the local office or wexfordcoco.ie. The email address for this area is firstname.lastname@example.org. The maximum grant payable is €600.
Reminder: A WEEE (Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment) cage only for small Household electrical goods and a container for the recycling of fluorescent tubes is situated at the back of the Railway Social Club. It is open on Saturday Mornings between 10.00 and 11.30 a.m., weather permitting.

News of the sudden and unexpected death of Barry Goff has caused deep shock and sadness in our community. Barry, who is the eldest son of Mary and the late Noel, Boher, Kilrane, was living in Liverpool with his wife Millie and young son Henry.
Barry was a talented hurler, playing with St Mary's, Rosslare from a very young age. He also enjoyed being on the stage, with the Ballycogley Players. He was easy going, friendly and popular and will be sorely missed.
Sincere sympathy is extended to his wife, son, mother, brothers Niall and David, sister Laura, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, extended family and many friends. Barry was laid to rest in Frankby Cemetery, Birkenhead, Wirral, after funeral Mass in St Brigid's Church, Kirby.
Barry's month's mind Mass will be held in St Patrick's Church, Rosslare Harbour on Sunday, February 17, at 10.30 a.m.
The next general meeting will be on Tuesday, March 5. The meeting will take place at the Rosslare Railway Social Club at 3 p.m. A Committee meeting will take place at 2 p.m.
A St Patrick's Day social will take place in the Hotel Rosslare on Sunday, March 17. Bacon and cabbage will be served at 01 p.m. Music by Jimmy Hogan. The price is €10 for KRHARG members and €16.50 for all others and may be obtained from Mairead at 053 9133702.
This year it is planned to have the Group's annual holiday early in September in the Abbey Hotel, Donegal Town. The price is to be confirmed. Early booking is essential and deposits of €50 should be paid at the next meeting.
Fancy giving it a whirl? Sessions will be held every Wednesday from February 27 (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) at Rosslare Community Centre. Open day in the Day Centre
We would like to invite everyone in the community to come along and visit our centre on Wednesday, February 20, from 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. We are holding an open day with Afternoon Tea where you can come in and have a look around and see what facilities we have to offer.
We have a Nurse in the centre, whom will be available on the day to chat about your requirements, We have two buses on the road three days a week, so you can chat with our manager and our Bus Drivers and see if you live in our catchment area. We have a chiropodist who calls once a month, and on the day you will have the opportunity to speak with our Senior Carer about this service and any other services you may be interested in.
Members of the board of management will also be on hand, there are so many other activities going on in our centre that I'm sure we will dispel the myth that we are a centre for 'One Foot in the Grave', but, instead we are a centre for 'The Young at Heart'. Please come along and meet all our Patrons, staff and BOM Looking forward to seeing you all on the day.
On Thursday, February 7, we held the first of a two night introductory taster session in Tagoat Community Centre, where we had great interest next Thursday, February 14, will be our second night, starting at 7.30 p.m., but if it is your first night please come along a few minutes earlier to complete screening form.
