Rosslare Harbour: St Vincent de Paul - The annual St Vincent de Paul Christmas collection will take place after Masses in Kilrane, Rosslare Harbour and Our Lady's Island on the weekend of December 1 and 2.

There will also be a collection in Murphy's SuperValu on Friday, November 30. Your generous support would be very much appreciated. All contributions are distributed locally.

Camogie AGM change

Due to unforeseen circumstances the date of the St Mary's camogie club AGM has now changed to November 27 at 7 p.m. in the clubhouse. The club apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Environment Group

At the annual Wexford County Council Keep Wexford Beautiful Awards held on November 12, the Rosslare Harbour-Kilrane Environment Group achieved first place in the category 'Best Community Coastal Management Initiative', Congratulations to all involved in achieving this award.

The Environment Group's Christmas Cards are presently available from various outlets including Caroline's Cafe, Topaz Garage, SuperValu, Teresa's Shop, Maguire's Hardware, Vera Fox or a committee member.

Reminder: A WEEE (Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment) cage only for small Household electrical goods and a container for the recycling of fluorescent tubes is situated at the back of the Railway Social Club. It is open on Saturday Mornings between 10.00 and 11.30 a.m., weather permitting.

Village Christmas

KRH Tops Community Group's Village Christmas will be held on Thursday, December 20. Beautiful carols and Christmas music with KRH cast and special guests in St Patrick's Church Rosslare Harbour at 6.30 p.m.

This will be followed by a visit to Santa's Grotto in the Railway Social Club with a gift for every child. Olaf, Mrs Clause and friends will be there with fun and games, music, a monster raffle, face painting, hot chocolate with cookies and home baking. Come join us for a Village Christmas to remember. Active Retirement

The next general meeting will be on Tuesday, December 4. The meeting will take place at the Kilrane Community Centre at 3.30 p.m. A Committee Meeting will take place at 2.30 p.m. Members are asked to bring their own cups.

Regrettably the Christmas Shopping trip to the Whitewater shopping centre in Newbridge, Co Kildare, planned for Thursday, November 29, is cancelled.

Our annual Christmas Dinner will take place on Wednesday, December 12, at the Coast Hotel, Rosslare Strand, at 07 p.m. A coach will leave the Railway Social Club at 6 p.m. The price for members is €15 each, the coach is free. RNLI table quiz

The annual Rosslare RNLI table quiz takes place on Monday, December 3, at 8.30 p.m. in the Railway Social Club. Table of four costs €20 to enter. A great night of fun and craic is promised and who knows you could even win a prize in the raffle.

Polar Plunge 2018

Charity Boutique

New 2 U Charity Boutique is offering a lovely selection of winter clothing at bargain prices. Open Monday to Saturday from 10 p.m. to 5 p.m. We are always grateful for donations of good quality clothing, small household items, and decorative bric-à-brac. Out of hours donations can be delivered to the community centre.

Cois Barry Centre

We currently have the following weekly activities in the Cois Barry Community Centre in Rosslare.

MONDAY: 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Art Group; 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Code Club for primary school aged kids; 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. Youth Club; 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. School of trad music.

TUESDAY: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Crochet Club; 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Drums; 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Beginners' Guitar.

WEDNESDAY: 11 a.m. to midday Computer Skills for Beginners of all ages; 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Intermediate Guitar (kids); 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Intermediate Guitar (adults).

Befriending Group

A free service offering companionship to older people through weekly visits and telephone calls. Volunteers are trained by 'Alone', and are Garda vetted and reference checked. We complement other services such as home help, homecare etc., but do not replace them. Self-referrals and professional referrals are welcome. Christmas in Tagoat

We are having our first Christmas event on Sunday, December 9, at 5 p.m. We will have the switching on of the lights, singing, mice pies and drinks and Santa will make an appearance. The tree will be decorated with memorial ribbons and you can nominate someone to turn on the lights for only €2. We hope to see everyone at this special occasion.

Christmas Fair

We would like to thank everyone who made the Christmas Fair such a success. Plenty of bargains were to be had and everyone went home happy.

Super Slimmers

The Super Slimmers meet every Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the Tagoat Community Centre. Come along and join a supportive group and lose a little weight.

Little Acorns

The Little Acorns Baby and toddler group meets every Thursday from 10.30 - 12: 30.
