Artists of the future
SATURDAY MORNING saw budding creative talent congregate at the Arts Centre for the weekly Little Artist Club workshop. Children aged between four and 12 created figurines from play dough which were brought to life through a process called 'Stop Motion Animation'.
One of the organisers, Joanne Donoghue Doyle, explained that Saturday's workshop also included a talk on the artwork on display in the gallery. The activities are all centred on encouraging children to develop their artistic skills and express their own imagination.
The hour-long session costs €7.50 per child and runs from 11 until 12 every Saturday morning. It's a wonderful opportunity for parents to get some time out safe in the knowledge that the kids are having fun too!
