The Bargy vintage club which is up and running for less than a year held a meeting in the past month with thirty two members in attendance.A further meeting will be held in the scout hall Ballymore on March 18 at 8pm with new members welcome.

A number of runs have been arranged with the first haven taken place in Rosslare on March 7. Deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Philip Cleere, Bishopswater, who sadly passed away over the last weekend. Philip was a former headmaster of Mayglass N.S. and was in the early years of retirement. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace


Joanne and David Morrissey have organised a two day concert featuring the Artist , composer and pianist Paul James in Johnstown Castle on Saturday and Sunday March 20, 21. The Saturday concert takes place from midday to 4pm with the official opening taking place at 2.15pm performed by Dr Noel Culleton and Sunday 11am to 4pm.

Admission on Saturday is by ticket only with tickets costing ¤15 per person and Sunday open to the public at ¤2 per person with car parking free
