BALLYMORE/ MAYGLASS

GAA LOTTO

The St Fintans GAA lotto jackpot now stands at €6,000 euro,and tickets are available at the local shops and from club members at €1.50. A match three prize of €300 is also up for grabs each week and St. Fintan's supporters Anthony Stafford and B&A O'Connor shared in this prize last week with the following numbers drawn: 2,7,8, 17.

BARGY VINTAGE RUN

The Bargy Vintage group will kindly hold a vintage tractor/car run on Sunday September 30th in aid of the Mayglass church restoration fund starting at Bolgers yard Ballycogley at 1pm. Registration will take place at 12 noon.

The route is as follows Leeches cross, Mayglass, Loughgunnan, Fardystown, Gardimus, Harpoonstown, Mulrankin, Bridgetown village, Woodville, Tullibards, Gollough, Boleys cross, Poulrane, Ballycleary cross, Gentstown, Tomhaggard, The Hideout, Grange, Ballybough, Knockhowlin, Five valley cross, Mownfield cross, Ballymore and finishing back at Ballycogley.

I.V.S. association rules apply. Food for all will be served in Ballycogley hall at 3.30pm approx. TV screens will be showing the All Ireland hurling replay. All are most welcome.

DRAMA

The Ballycogley players are currently reading their choosen one act plays for the upcoming one act season. Performances will take place during the month of October. Dates and venues will be posted at a later date and we look forward to your continued and valued support.

All those members of the group that have sponsorship cards for the Tomhaggard social centre sponsored walk/run are requested to return cards and cash to any member of the committee as soon as possible. The committee members are as follows:Fintan Murphy, Con Doyle, Angela Byrne,Terence O'Byrne and Paddy McGuire. A big thank you to those group members that helped raise much needed funds for the centre.

CLUB COLOURS

With the St Fintans intermediate football team in a county final why not give them some extra support by using car flags,wing mirror covers or hand waving flags. These are in the club colours and have the crest fitted and are available from Frank Staples on 085 1467962. Why not become the 'extra man' for the team by flying the club colours.

WALK THE WALK

Why not sign up with Kiely's Centra, Killinick for a charity walk in aid of Irish Cancer Societys 'Action Breast Cancer'. Registration forms and details are available for collection in Kielys centra, Killinick. The fundraising walk will be held on October 7th at 2pm. Take part and support this great cause. CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

The families and friends of Severely Intellectually Disabled would like to thank the people of Ballymore/Mayglass for their kind support during their recent church gate collection. The sum raised was €224.64 and also a special word of thanks to the collectors who made it possible.

MAYGLASS SCHOOL

The parents association of Mayglass school will hold its A.G.M on Wednesday September 26th at 8.30pm in the school. We would like to invite all parents especially those new to the school to attend and to meet informally for a cup of tea and a chat from 7.30pm.

GAA ACTION

The St. Fintan's intermediate football team will play Naomh Eanna Gorey in Wexford park on Sat Sept 29th at 3pm in the county final. The club is calling on all its loyal supporters to turn out in their numbers to support their heroes. Up the green and gold.

A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY

The local forth and Bargy gaels minor football team will be playing in the latter stages of this years championship in St Patricks Park Enniscorthy on Fri Oct 5th. This game will be played under lights and more details will be made known at a later date

DRESSMAKING CLASSES

Knitwits in Bridgetown are introducing Beginners Dressmaking classes in late October. They require 8 people to make up a class which will run for 7 weeks in the community hall in your area.
