GAA Lotto

The St Fintans GAA lotto now stands at €8100 and tickets can be purchased in the local shops,club grounds on Tuesday evenings from 8pm and from club members at a cost of €1.50. There is also a match three prize of €300 up for grabs each week and Paul Newport and Brendan Pettit shared in this prize with the following numbers drawn 5,8,10,28. Many thanks for your continued support.


The church fundraising committee are holding a parish celebration night on Saturday January 31st 2015 at 8.30pm in the Danby lodge Killinick.

The Bargy Vintage group are joining us in celebration with the Vintage Tractor raffle taking place at 10pm. The Bargy Vintage club members have raised a substantial amount of money for the church with their annual vintage tractor rallys every September. Raffle tickets for the Tractor will be available up to January 31st 2015 from Bargy vintage club members. Music starts at 9pm with tea/light refreshments at the interval. All are most welcome.

Forever Fit

DanceFit / Body Toning classes continue in Ballycogley every Monday and Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. Plus 'Forever Active' Over 60's each Monday at 11.30 a.m. All pay as you go classes. Join in any time. Call Amanda Burke on 087 9713339 for info.

Club Membership

St.Fintans Club membership 2015 is now payable. Membership for non players will be €30 for the year. Members who pay up before 31st January will receive a FREE National Draw Ticket.(value €10). Club membership is open to all our supporters. A club membership card is currently being worked on and it is hoped all paid members will have their own card as soon as possible. Membership can be paid to Linda Rankin or by contacting Club Secretary Sharon Pettit.

Meals On Wheels

St Marys Day Care Centre can supply you with a three course dinner five days a week. Soup, main course and dessert all prepared and delivered to your door between the hours of 12 noon and 1.30pm. This excellent service will cost you just €6 per day. You can decide if you require a meal every day,every second day or just one or two days per week,the choice is yours. Ladies Football

The st Fintans ladies will hold a presentation/ registration evening on sun 15th feb from 5-7 in Danby lodge. This is open for all age groups to attend. Their will be a medal presentation to both u14 and 16 whom both reached a county final and also to our ladies team for their shield medals. We invited all members and parents as it is an opportunity to get the girls together again before we kick start the new season with training starting very soon.

We will be taking registrations for the coming season also. Membership for the year is u10 €30, u12-minor €40, students €60 and adults €80. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Bargy Vintage Club

Bargy Vintage Club will be holding a meeting in Scout Hall next Wednesday night January 28th at 8.00 to collect all remaining Ferguson 20 tickets. We would appreciate it if all tickets sold and unsold could be returned on the night as draw will take place on Saturday 31st Jan in Danby Lodge.

Get Well Soon

Get well soon wishes are sent to Ruth Boggan Loughgunnan Killinick. Ruth is currently a patient in Wexford General hospital recovering following a procedure and her family and friends are looking forward to having her back home soon.


The Ballycogley Players held a very successful fundraising table quiz in the Hideout Tomhaggard during the past week with the proceeds going to the Tomhaggard social centre.

The group has the use of the premises for its rehearsals and would like to thank the following,those that turned out on the night,those who were unable to be there but sponsored a team, the winners on the night for donating the prize and Stephen and "Tush" of the Hideout for looking after us so well. Rehearsals are ongoing in preparation for the upcoming festivals and a performance will be held in Rathangan hall on February 20th. Further details later.

Happy Birthday

Aidan Miskella of the Ballycogley Players was joined by a large gathering of family and friends over last weekend to help him celebrate his 60th bithday. Though the party was a surprise it did not stop Aidan enjoying the ocassion and he even gave us a few steps on the dance floor. Happy birthday Aidan from your family and friends.

Restoration Fund

The fundraising committee of the Mayglass church restoration fund held the final hamper draws in Ballycogley P.O during the recent past with the local mayor ,post mistress the duke and members of the public in attendance. The Danby Lodge winner was Erin Devereux, Killinick P.O winner was Amy Scallan and the Ballycogley P.O.; winners were Stepnanie Kehoe and Christina Devereux. Many thanks to you all, your support over the years is greatly appreciated.
