CLOTHES COLLECTION

The next clothes collection in Ballymurn School will take place on Tuesday 1st February.

SENIOR CITIZENS PARTY

Ballymurn Senior Citizens Party will take place on Friday 21st January, beginning with Mass in the hall at 7pm.

21ST BIRTHDAY

Congratulations to Catherine Dempsey, St Joseph's Terrace and Fiona Doyle, Ballylucas who celebrated their 21st birthdays recently.

GAA NOTES

Crossabeg/Ballymurn GAA club had no winner of last weeks Lotto jackpot while there was one match three winner; Marian Cousins. The numbers drawn were 1, 8, 14, and 25. This week's jackpot is €13,000.

The AGM of the Adult section of the club took place recently. The officers elected for 2011 are: President Fr. James Finn, Vice Presidents: Johnny Doyle, Lar O'Leary, Eamon Doyle and John Murphy, Randalsmill. Chairman Michael Doyle, Vice Chairman John Cummins, Secretary John Foley, Treasurer James Grannell, PRO John Cummins, Co. Board Rep Seamus Kehoe, Youth Officer Paul Roche, District Reps Diarmuid McDonald and John Foley, Committee: Robin Dempsey, Johnny Walsh, Nick Byrne, Michael Cummins, Michael Doyle Jnr., Brian O'Leary, David Murphy, James Grannell Jnr and Eoin McDonald. Hurling Manager: Derek Redmond and Football Manager Robin Dempsey.

The U17 footballers beat Clongeen in the Jim Byrne cup last week and are now through to the quarter finals.

The Coiste Na Nog (Under Age section) AGM took place last Friday night. Club development fundraising tickets are now on sale, win €2000 for as little as 1 cent, please give your support. The draw will take place on 27th February.

The club wishes to extend deepest sympathies to the Kelly family on the death of Aidan. He was a long time servant of Crossabeg/Ballymurn GAA club and a former club secretary. May he rest in peace.

SLIMFIT SOCIAL CLUB

Slimfit social club take place in Ballymurn Montessori School every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6-7pm, 78pm and 8-9pm. This club is for all ages. Cost is €6 per session. And for all you mums there is a onsite babysitting service available for only €3. For more information call Gina on 0871234788.

LADIES FOOTBALL

The Crossabeg/Ballymurn Ladies Football club are holding a Dinner Dance on Saturday 29th January in The Ferrycarrig Hotel tickets €5 available from committee members a fantastic night was had last year we hope for an even better night this year.

Ballymurn Youth Club Fundraising Calendars are still available - please contact any committee member if you would like a copy, cost is €10.

IRISH DANCING CLASSES

Irish dancing classes will resume on Wednesday 19th January at 2.30pm in Ballymurn Hall. All are welcome.

KEEP FIT CLASSES

Debbie's circuit and toning class has recommenced for the new year on a Wednesday night at 8pm in Ballymurn hall, with newcomers welcome. Those interested in starting a morning class need to contact Debbie directly on 0868122535.

MUSIC IN THE ANVIL

There will be a traditional music night in the Anvil Pub in Ballymurn village on Friday 28th January. Musicians and everyone are welcome.
