LADIES FOOTBALL

Crossabeg/Ballymurn Ladies Football training times - U8's and U10's will resume training on Wednesday 6th April 5.30pm-6.30pm in Ballymurn Pitch, U12's and U14's Wednesday 6.30pm-7.30pm, U16's and Juniors Wednesday 7.30pm8.30pm, registration night is on Wednesday 6th at 7pm please bring your membership form and fee.

Gaelic for mothers football training will start on Tuesday 5th April 7.30pm-8.30pm in Crossabeg Pitch all are very welcome.

AEROBIC CLASSES

Aerobics classes in Ballymurn Hall from Monday April 4th at 6.40pm - 7.40pm.and run every Monday thereafter. For questions and queries Contact Debbie 0868122535.

GAA NOTES

There was no winner of last weeks Lotto jackpot, while there was one match three winner; Jason Cullen, Ballykelly. The winning numbers were 3, 11, 16, and 17. This week's jackpot is €3000. The Junior hurlers lost to Taghmon in the league recently while the Junior B hurlers beat Ballyhogue also in the League.

The Junior hurlers play Duffry Rovers in the championship this weekend. The minor footballers lost to Glynn. The minor hurlers play away to Buffers Alley on Wednesday 27th at 7pm. The U16 hurling game against Oulart is rescheduled for April 29th. The U16 footballers play at home against Ballinastraw Gaels on Sunday 24th at 11.30am. The U14 hurlers took part in Division 1 feile losing two and drawing one game. Training for beginners and U8's will take place every Friday at 7.00pm alternating between Crossabeg and Ballymurn (Friday 22nd April in Crossabeg and Friday 29th April in Ballymurn.).

The Rackard League hurlers beat Blackwater last week. Their next game will be after the Easter break. Memberships for all under-age are due to be returned with membership forms. County Development draw tickets are now on sale, please support your local club. VARIETY CONCERT

Variety Concert in aid of Chernobyl will take on Easter Monday 25th April in the Riverside Park Hotel featuring a host of local talent, all tastes will be catered for. Tickets are €5. Available from Anne O'Byrne 086 8803452 or Breda Redmond 9138190.

VINTAGE NEWS

The sun shone brightly for the Over The Water Vintage Run last Sunday. It was a great turn out with a total of 80 vehicles taking part.

The vintage cars headed towards Vinegar Hill and the tractors headed towards the Ballagh.

In the meantime back in Ballymurn the Village was ablaze with bottle stalls, cake stalls, face painting ,vintage exhibitions, and music was provided by the popular young group Thunderstruck and Fiona Quirke's school of music.

The entrants draw resulted as follows with the secretary Martin Kearons officiating Mogue Curtis, Leo Casey, Brian Donohoe, Phil Jackman, Padraig Murphy, Gary Murphy, Mick Ennis,John Redmond, Jimmy Kehoe, John Kehoe, Paddy White, Adrian Morris, James Jackman, Nick Sinnott and Francis Cullen.

John Redmond, chairman, thanked each and everyone that participated in the event. The Hall Committee greatly appreciated the effort that was made for their fundraising event.

MOTORCYCLE CLUB

The Caslebridge Midlife Crisis Motorcycle Club are holding their 2nd annual bike run on Sunday May 1st, setting off at 3pm from the school,where a field day will also take place.

Around 80 bikes took part last year and over €5000 was raised for St Ibars National School Castlebridge.

This year, Castlebridge School, Castlebridge Tidy Town Committee and The Senior Citizens Group are to be the beneficiaries. There will be music on an outdoor stage in The Porter House at 4pm,with a disco in the lounge for the kids.
