Ballymurn Parish Day will take place on Sunday 5th June Crossabeg Parish Day will take place on Sunday 12th June.


The First Holy Communion took place last Saturday in Ballymurn. Congratulations to Nick Scallan, Brody Murphy, Chonaill Devlin, Kyle O¡¯Toole, Leah Scallan, Aoibh Dunne, Leah Sludds Bradshaw,Chloe Daly, Cian O'Leary, Patrick Redmond, Jodie Whitty, Blaithin Cullen, Ganre Akpubi, Zoe Evans, Mark White, Alan White, Sean Walsh, Chloe Murphy, Megan Horton & Joshua Waldron.


A meeting of the Ballymurn Branch took placed on Friday 6th May to close the books on the first hundred years of the local centre of P.T.A.A. A memorable night was had on the 6th April to celebrate its centenary.

Thanks to Adian Quirke who presented the committee with a beautiful framed group photograph of all the recipients. This will take pride of place in Ballymurn church with the plague blessed by the bishop to commerate the occasion.

Thanks also to Fr McGuckian, Fr Micheal Byrne, Fr Bernard Cussen, Cannon Seamus de Val and Fr Jim Finn and all who participated in the ceremony. Thanks to each and every member of the committee who organised the event. Thanks to Anna May & her team, to Peter in Costcutters, to Brid Culleton for her calligraphy, emailing and photocoping, to the catering ladies, Paddy White & Shay Hodnett, the Ballymurn Mummers, who made the night such a success.

Hopefully the younger members of whom there are many, will join in the fun and get Ballymurn Centre on the road to the Bicentenary. A special word of thanks to Annmarie and other notes correspondents who so kindly spread the word. Congratulations to Jack Redmond who celebrated his 80th birthday recently.


There will be a clothes collection in Ballymurn school on Wednesday 18th May. Please leave bags at school by 9.30am.


The 1st Anniversary mass for Kay Enright (nee Hennessey) will take place on Saturday 21st May at 8.15pm.


There was no winner of last week's Lotto jackpot, while there were two match three winners, Joe Doyle, Barntown and James Grannell Jnr. The numbers drawn were 3, 8, 11, and 19. This week's jackpot is €3,800.
