JADE'S CHARITY CONCERT

There is a Charity Concert on Sunday 29th July in Castle Ballroom Enniscorthy hosted by KOBI (formely Thunderstruck) in aid of Jade Whelan. Kiera Byrne (the Voice), The Man Whom, System Saviour, Brendan Keane/Shane Kenny will all perform on the Night. Disco afterwards by Liam Sharkey. A great nights entertainment lined up for such a good cause.

It is great to see some many people giving their time free for this and also the Castle Night Club providing the Venue free. Doors open at 7.30pm Tickets available from any band member or Aileen or Ann Adm :€5

PIONEER NEWS

The P.T.A.A. and Matt Talbot pilgrimage in Knock on Sunday last was blessed with fine weather and a large attendance.

BALLYMURN FESTIVAL

The Ballymurn Festival takes place from Mon 30th July to Sunday 5th August. Schedule as follows.

Monday 30th July - Car Treasure Hunt between 7 & 8pm. Tuesday 31st July - Children's Activity Evening from 7 - 830pm. Wednesday 1st August - Table Quiz in the Anvil at 9.30pm Friday 3rd August - 4 Mile Run/Walk registration at 6.45pm Walkers start at 7pm Runners 7 30pm. Sunday 5th August - Field Day and Barbecue starting at 2pm. Cabaret in the Anvil Sunday night starting at 9pm.

Anyone wishing to donate bottles for bottle stall, please contact any youth club member or leave in the shop, more details later.

TRADITIONAL IRISH NIGHT

A Traditional Irish night takes place in The Anvil on Friday 27th July. Everyone is welcome.

SYMPATHY

Sincere sympathy is extended to Tony and Ann Byrne and family on the death recently of Tony's brother Simon. R.I.P.

GAA NOTES

There was no winner of last week's lotto Jackpot and one match three winner; Meabh and Rory Connolly. The numbers drawn were 1, 11, 27, and 29. This week's jackpot is €5,800.

The Junior A footballers play away to Duffry Rovers in the championship on Friday 27th at 7.30pm. The U18 footballers beat Gusserane last week. The U18 hurlers play Rapparees away on Wednesday 1st August at 7.30pm. The U16 hurlers lost to the Shels last week. The U16 hurlers play Oulart at home on Monday 30th at 7.30pm. The U12 footballers play St. Marys Rosslare away on Tuesday 31st at 7.30pm.

CAMOGIE

Oylegate/Glenbrien Camogie Club well done to the U12s who are true to the final of The Mary Heffernan Cup due to be held on Saturday 4th August time and venue to be decided.

LADIES FOOTBALL

Crossabeg/Ballymurn Ladies Football club : Well done to Amy Fortune who played in the mini games with Wexford during half time of the Leinster Finals in Carlow last Sunday week.

VINTAGE NEWS

reddie's Screen and the Over The Water Vintage Club are holding a barbeque in Freddie's bar on Friday 27th July in aid the Nicola Furlong Fund. Your support will be greatly appreciated. A great night of good food, good music and good craic assured. Tickets at €5 available from Vintage Club Members or Freddie's.
