A total of €220 was collected for Muintir na Tire at the church gate recently. Many thanks to all who contributed.


The AGM for St. Joseph's NS, Ballymitty will take place in the school this Thursday October 18 at 8.15pm.


Member Mairead French, trish McClelland, Marion Brady and Lorraine Cosgrave won the SE region active retirement association table quiz in the Brandon House Hotel in New Ross. The local ladies did their association proud as they won the event by three marks and qualified for the next stage which will be held today Tuesday October 16 in the same venue.

The tenpin bowlers are busy practising for next month's league to be held at Leisuremax, Drinagh.

The association are currently gathering up old currency coins and notes (old Irish, foreign currency) for the Special Olympics. The collection boxes are in Wallaces SuperValu and at the Country Ship, Carrig or coins can be given to any ARA member. The collection ends at the end of October.

The U10 girls played at home against Tombrack on Saturday and fought it out to a nill all draw. U12 girls played away to Fasnet Rovers in a friendly on Saturday also and won 5-1 with scores from Aisling Waters 2, Shannon Anglim 1, Niamh Millar 1 and Eleanor Aldridge 1.

The Mens A team played away to All Blacks and won 5-0 with a hatrick from Niall Harney and a goal each from Barry Sinnott and Gavin Sinnott. Mens B team played away to Fasnet Rovers and won 20 with thanks to goals from Philly Murphy and Wayne Donnelly.

Another week of great results for our club well done to all involved. The new club gear can be ordered from Toddy or Clodagh and is very reasonable.
