As part of their 40th Anniversary celebrations, Bree AC are hosting the Leinster Road Race championships in Galbally this Sunday at 2pm.

The race begins at Garranstackle Cross, on to Ballymorris, Galbally and one full lap via Kereight Cross, Ballymorris and back to Galbally finishing at the school. The area around Galbally will be busy from 12 noon to 4pm. Regional runners are expected from all counties in Leinster.

Even though Bree AC has no Senior Road athletes at present, the area and county will be represented by members from other local clubs. Best wishes to all involved.


Training will commence for all athletes age U8 upwards at the bottom pitch in Ballyhogue GAA Club grounds from Monday March 22. Training will take place every Monday and Wednesday evening at 6.30pm - ¤2 per training session. New members welcome.


The 'High Kings' will perform in the Riverside Hotel, Enniscorthy on Wednesday, March 24 as part of their Nationwide Tour. The night will be a fundraiser in aid of Bree Community Centre Refurbishment. Tickets at ¤30 are available in Bree Parish Office, Riverside Hotel, Whites of Wexford and in BPM, New Ross.


A registration night for all teams will take place on Saturday evening March 20th from 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. in Ballyhogue GAA Complex. The panels will be U12, U14, U16 and U18 – costing ¤35 and Adults – costing ¤50. All are most welcome.


Well done to Peter Hughes and Paul Lambert from Wexford who won the Leinster Junior B doubles final.


The Senior Variety Show Final was held in Mary Immaculate College in Limerick on Saturday last and 15 club members travelled to the show. Well done to Joe Hogan and Sean Hogan who put on an outstanding performance in the Spotlight category.

Joe sang Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds", accompanied by Sean on drums. In the banner competition, congratulations go to Lucy Forte and Leah Curran who created Bree's banner which achieved runner up at the event. The next club night is Friday March 19 at the usual times.
