BENEFIT NIGHT There will be a Benefit Night in Ryan's Lounge, Galbally on Friday September 17th. All support welcome.MACRA REUNION Calling all former members of Bree Macra. Bree Macra is planning a Dinner Dance for Saturday, 20th November to celebrate 50 years in existence.

There is a meeting for anyone interested in becoming involved with the organisation of the event this Wednesday evening in Bree Hall at 8.30pm.


Bree Youth Club will meet this Friday, 17th September from 7-8pm for junior members and 8-9pm for senior members. Anyone who has not registered may do so on the night. The first senior disco of the year will be held in Taghmon on Friday, 1st October. Senior members wishing to attend may put their names down on Friday, 17th September. The cost will be €8 which includes transport to and from the venue.


The Annual Bree Davidstown Community Games Bag Packing in association with Bree AC takes place in Dunnes Stores, Enniscorthy on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th October from 9am to 8pm. Please secure your desired time with Clare Doyle on 087-4151350.


Bree Davidstown Community Games Chess and Draughts Lessons resume on Tuesday next, 21st September from 79pm. All children from 8 years to 16 years are welcome. Cost is €1.


Bree Community Centre has reopened following completion of Phase 2 of the Refurbishment Project. The roof and ceiling of the main body of the hall have been replaced, the shop area is completely refurbished, the hall floor and stage floor are as new as well as a lot of paintwork restored. The venue is now suitable for basketball, volleyball, badminton and indoor soccer. All organisations wishing to use the Community Centre should state the nature of the activity involved, the times and day / dates required and submit their request to the Parish Office before the 30th Sept. In the meantime, anyone wishing to use the Community Centre during the month of September should contact Eddie Dunne in the usual way. The next Hall Committee Meeting takes place on Mon, 4th October at 8.30pm.


There was no winner of the Ballyhogue GAA club lotto in the most recent draw which took place in Byrne's of Bree on Wednesday, September 8th. Congratulations to Kitty Byrne of Clonmore who won €100 for a match three. The next draw takes place on 22nd September with a jackpot of €1,600.

Irish dancing classes have now resumed in Bree Community Centre. Classes are held on Saturdays and on Wednesday nights. Registration for all new beginners will take place on Saturday, Sept 25th at 10.30am. All new dancers are welcome. There will be no dancing on Saturday next, Sept 18th. Scoil Ceoil MacSiurtain is a three Teacher School teaching Traditional Irish Music on Monday evenings in Galbally Hall. Classes cater for Keyboard/Piano, Fiddle/Violin, Mandolin, Banjo, Button/Piano Accordion/Melodeon, Tin Whistle, Flute & Bodhrán. Beginners and Advanced Welcome. Bree AC Winter training continues every Monday and Wednesday evening at 6.30pm on the tartan track in Bree. Indoor training takes place every Saturday night in Bree Hall at 7.30pm.

Cost €2 each session. New members are always welcome. The next club lotto draw takes place this Saturday, 18th September.
