BREE/GALBALLY

GAA NEWS: Good luck to the Ballyhogue u14 footballers who play the Volunteers in the county final this Thursday evening in Wexford Park at 6.15pm. The next GAA Lottodraw takes place this Wednesday 22nd September with a jackpot of €1,600.

ATHLETICS

Bree AC Congratulations to Catriona Corcoran who won the gold medal in the Leinster Schools Senior Multi-Event competition last Wednesday representing Loreto Secondary School Wexford. Outdoor training continues every Monday and Wednesday evening in Bree at 6.30pm with Indoor training every Saturday night in Bree Hall at 7.30pm. The Murphy Family, Galbally were the winners of the recent Bree AC Lotto Draw. The next draw takes place on the 2nd October. Your support would be appreciated.

YOUTH CLUB

Bree Youth Club will meet this Friday, 24th September from 7-8pm for junior members and 8-9pm for senior members. Anyone who has not registered may do so on the night. The first senior disco of the year will be held in Taghmon on Friday 1st October. Payment of €8 for the disco (includes transport) must be given to a leader at the club night on September 24th. Names have now been submitted to FDYS so anyone who did not sign up will have to wait for the next disco which is scheduled for Friday, October 29th.

MACRA 50TH

Bree Macra is planning a Dinner Dance for Saturday, 20th November in the Riverside Park Hotel to celebrate 50 years in existence. Tickets on sale from Brendan Byrne, James Byrne, Sinead Long or PJ Darcy at €30 each

CHESS AND DRAUGHTS

Bree Davidstown Community Games Chess and Draughts Lessons have resumed on Tuesday nights from 7-9pm in Bree Community Centre. All children from 8 years to 16 years are welcome. Cost is €1 per night.

INDOOR SOCCER

Anyone interested in playing over-35's indoor soccer in Bree Hall during the winter months, please contact Charlie Parnell on 086 8298568. Purely for fun, exercise and enjoyment.

TIDY TOWNS

Bree Community Tidy Towns are having a meeting in the Community Centre on Monday, September 27th at 8.pm.

IRISH DANCING

Irish dancing classes have now resumed in Bree Community Centre. Classes are held on Saturdays and on Wednesday nights. Registration for all new beginners will take place this Saturday, September 25th at 10.30am. All new dancers are welcome. COMMUNITY CENTRE

All organisations wishing to use Bree Community Centre should state the nature of the activity involved, the times and day / dates required and submit their request to the Parish Office before the 30th September. In the meantime, anyone wishing to use the Community Centre during the month of September should contact Eddie Dunne in the usual way. The next Hall Committee Meeting takes place on Monday, 4th October at 8.3opm

BAG PACKING

The Annual Bree Davidstown Community Games Bag Packing in association with Bree AC takes place in Dunnes Stores, Enniscorthy on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th October from 9am to 8pm. Please secure your desired time with Clare Doyle on 087 4151350.
