The Bree Davidstown area athletics finals have been fixed for Bree on Wednesday, 25th May at 6.30pm. Registration is at 6pm. Admission is €2 for everyone. Commiserations to the Girls U12 Soccer Team who were defeated 3-1 by Castlebridge/Crossabeg in the county final in Ferrycarrig Park on Wednesday last.


The annual tractor and vintage run takes place on Sunday, 29th May. Registration begins at the community centre from 11.30am and the run is expected to get under way at 1.00pm.


The Alzheimer's Society of Ireland (Wexford Branch) hold an open garden on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd May at Barmoney (courtesy of the Egan Family) from 11am to 5pm each day. Also craft exhibition, raffle, cake stall and teas. Donations will remain in Wexford's Alzheimer's area. For further information or to help out please call Mary 0873539468.


The final club night of the year is this Friday, 20th May. There will be a party for Junior members from 6.30pm until 8pm and for Senior members from 8pm until 9.30pm. Food will be provided and there will be fun entertainment. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this club year a success especially the young people of Bree and their parents. Thanks also to all the leaders and volunteers who give willingly of their time. Bree Youth Club AGM will be held on Monday, 23rd May at 7.30pm in Bree Community Centre. All are welcome to attend.


Congratulations to everyone who competed in the Wexford Creamery Track & Field County championships recently held. It was a very successful Championships for Bree AC athletes. Full results are available on their Club website Training continues every Monday & Wednesday evening at 6.30pm. New members are always welcome. Best wishes to the twelve relay teams competing in the Leinster Championships in Greystones on Sunday next. Entries for U9-12 Leinster Championships for Saturday, 28th May are due this Wednesday.


The Pupils of Bree National School Second Class made their First Holy Communion on Saturday last. Congratulations to Sophie Codd, Joe Cahill, Áine Byrne, Adam Roche, Gilly Phelan, Lewis McComiskey, Patrick Devereux, Daisy Doolan, Adam Dunne, Katie Redmond, Evan Walsh Murphy, Abigail Quigley, Jack Cahill, Barry Cunnea, Jack Kinsella, Sarah Doyle, Christopher Reidy, Anna Browne, Ben Harrington, Isabel Reidy, Orla McCauley, Adam Broaders, Kaylin O'Leary, Alan Doyle and Roísin Kennedy. Congratulations also to Ian Dunne, Eamonn Doyle and Emma Hayes who made their First Holy Communion in Galbally on Saturday 7th May.
