FASHION SHOW

A Fashion Show, in aid of Phase 3 of Bree Community Centre Refubishment, will be held in the Riverside Park Hotel this Wednesday, 21st September at 8.15pm. Clothes from Glamour and Ottiva Boutiques, both located in Enniscorthy, will be modeled. Tickets at €10 each are available from committee members, at Bree Post Office and will be available at the door on the night. GAA REUNION

Reunion Night on Saturday October 22nd to honour the 1961 team (50 years), 1971 team (40 years) and the 1986 team (25 years) in the Ferrycarrig Hotel at 8pm. Tickets costing €20 each are available from Nicholas Doyle, Liam Leacy or any other committee member. BAG PACKING

Congratulations to Galen Riordan (Ballyhogue) and Padraig Foley (castlebridge) on a fantastic win in the recent 60x30 U16 All Ireland Doubles Championships. They overcame a Tipperary pairing in an enthralling final on a scoreline of 21-9 2116. CHILDREN'S ART CLASSES

Karate lessons for children are taking place in Bree Hall on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, under the instruction of Mr Liam Croke, who holds a black belt in Kenpo Karate. The cost of the lessons is €6.50 per child, with sibling discounts.

Bree Youth Club is back in action every Friday evening with Juniors from 7-8pm and Seniors from 8-9pm. All are welcome but children must be accompanied by a parent in order to register. Anyone who has not completed a registration form will not be admitted. Eight of the Senior members will be doing leadership training with the FDYS this year.

Senior members are reminded that the first Senior disco is on the 30th of September. The bus leaves Bree at 8.15 pm so please be at the community centre for 8pm at the latest. Due to the success of the previous collection, Bree Utd Soccer Club will again take donations of textiles, clean bed linen, shoes, handbags, curtains, belts, clean clothing etc. Pease bring them along to the Community Centre on Friday 30th September from 6pm onwards. All donations appreciated. U8 INDOOR HURLING

Boys and girls U8 indoor hurling will commence on Monday 26th of September in Bree Community Centre from 78pm. All children are welcome but must have a helmet and shin guards and €2 (hurls will be provided, do not buy hurls at this stage). children must be U8 and have completed one year in primary school. Well done to club member Brendan Byrne on receiving a Gold Leadership Distinction Award in Kilkenny. This is the highest level of award that can be achieved by a county officer. Hard luck to the Bree team who lost to Kilrush Askamore in the Gaelic Football 7 a side county finals recently.
