BREE/GALBALLY

'SEISIUN' RETURNS

The ' Comhaltas Seisiún' Sessions, in association with Celtic Roots, continue weekly in Bree Community Centre on Tuesday nights at 8.30pm for the months of July and August.

Each Session begins with the serving of scones and tea / coffee followed by a full programme of Music, Song, Dance and Storytelling. Cost is €10 for adults with concessions for large groups and children. For bookings and further details contact 087-7535354.

BREE FAIR DAY

The Annual Bree Fair Day will be held on Sunday, 5th August. It will feature the usual stalls along with children's Fancy Dress Comp, Go Karts, Best Dressed Pet, Best Produce, Art and Photographic Competitions, Children's Baking Competitions and Best Container/window box.

Volunteers to assist with any stall would be very welcome. Please contact Eddie Dunne. Talent Competitions (U13 & U18) and Skittles Tournaments (U16 & Senior) will be the main features on the day. The Annual Householders draw will also be held in association with Bree Fair Day.

PATRONS

The Patron in Ballybrennan Cemetery will take place this Friday evening, 20th Julyat 7pm. Weather permitting, Mass will be celebrated. The Bree Patron will take place on Sunday 19th August.

GAA LOTTO RESULTS

The winning numbers were 2,3,30 and 31. There was no winner of the jackpot. The lucky dip winner was Larry Creane Ballyhogue. The next draw will be held in Byrne's of Bree on 25th July at 8.30pm. Thank you for your continued support.

MODEL COUNTY DRAW

Congratulations to Jim and Derry Byrne Clonmore who won €200 in the May Model County GAA Draw. Thanks to all for their support in buying tickets

BREE HERITAGE

The Bree Heritage project, have purchased information display boards for the old graveyards at Clonmore and Ballybrennan, which we hope to errect shortly. For further information please contact Colm Moriarty at 086 8747220 or via email at breeheritageproject@gmail.com.

BREE UNITED

Registration night for new and existing players with Bree United will take place in Bree Hall on Friday 27th July from 6pm to 7.30pm. It is important that all existing players try to make it and new players are very welcome. Registration fees are mens and ladies €50, youths €30, schoolboys €20, girls €20. Family discounts will apply for more than two players in a family registering.

All involved with Bree United would like to say a big thank you to Margaret Doyle who stepped down as treasurer and PRO at the recent agm. Her expertise will be missed. The club would like to thank all who attended the recent BBQ at the pitch in Macmine. A great evening was had by all.
