The Health Service Executive is offering an eight week parenting course for parents of 9 - 16 year olds in the Wexford area entitled: "Family Communications & Self Esteem (FCSE)."

This course will be held at the Coolcotts Community Centre, Coolcotts, Wexford. (Beside the S.1.P.T.U. building) starting on Tuesday 15th February and finishes on Tuesday, 5th April and runs from 7.00 - 9.30 p.m.

Wexford Order of Malta is holding a basic first aid course at the Order of Malta Training Centre, St. John's Drive commencing Thursday 27th January from 810pm. Duration: 6 weeks. Costs is €90 per person includes certification and course materials. No need to register just show up on the first night. All are welcome.

Keep Fit at Scoil Mhuire, Coolcotts on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30 to 7.30 pm. Pay as you go, €7 per class, €4 for students. A great all over body workout, with great results, cardio, kickboxing, flexibility, weights, bums and tums. All fitness levels, men and women.

An Evening of Song, Story, Poetry, and Prayer in celebration of St. Brigid takes place on Sunday, 30th January at 7pm. in Clonard Main Church. All are most welcome to attend. Voluntary collection to follow.


Calling All Singers And Musicians! The Clonard Vigil Choir is seeking new members.

Rehearsals take place in the Clonard Day Chapel every Wednesday, from 8.30-9.30pm, and every Saturday, at 6.30 p.m., before the 7.00 p.m. Vigil Mass. Join us as we offer prayer and praise through song. All ages are welcome.


Next meeting is on 26th January. Garda Neil Murphy will give a talk about making our homes more secure. Computer Course starts on 26th January in Coolcotts Community Centre.

The Ferns Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from 17th to 22nd May.

If you would like to help the work of the Invalid Pilgrim Section of the Pilgrimage, you can do so by supporting our Annual Draw. Tickets will be on sale throughout the Diocese. Money raised in this draw is used to help sick pilgrims travel to Lourdes.

Infant Massage classes run for five weeks in Clonard Community Centre. There are many benefits for you and your baby. These can offer relief from colic, wind, teething pain and constipation. It is also another way of enhancing communication between you and your baby. Full instruction by a qualified instructor, massage oils and comprehensive hand-outs are provided, as well as a relaxing cup of tea or coffee after each class.

Next Sunday 30th January, the Irish Pilgrimage Trust will be celebrating a special mass in Clonard Church at 2.30pm to celebrate its 40 strong years in existence of bringing young people, with special needs, from all over Ireland, to Lourdes on a week's pilgrimage holiday.

The mass will be celebrated by our own Bishop Denis Brennan and we have issued invitations to all previous young guests and carers , along with out many benefactors over the years. We would also like to issue an open invitation to the general public to come and celebrate this special mass with us. Tea and refreshments will follow in the Community Centre.
