Well done to all the athletes from St. Killians AC who travelled to Kilmacow on Easter Monday to compete against the best in an open sports. The children were accompanied by Kathryn Kinlough and Nicky Cowman and thanks are extended to them for giving of their time. The children enjoyed the experience and came home with 4 Gold medals, 2 Silver medals and 3 Bronze medals which was also an added bonus.

Arts and Craft courses with Siobhan Doyle as Tutor will commence on Tuesday, April 17 in Kyle Forge from 2-4 p.m and will continue for 6 weeks. The members will take a break from the classes on Tuesday, May 15 and will go Bowling at Leisuremax. All are welcome to join in with the group for the classes or for the bowling. U13 Boys Futsal On Sunday last a boys under 13 Futsal team competed in the county finals held at the Acro Sports centre in Enniscorthy. They came up against a team from Rathgarogue/cushinstown in the semi-final and came through on a 4-1 scoreline thanks to goals by Tom Keavney (2) Darragh Malone and Thomas O`connor.
Their opponents in the final were a team from Enniscorthy who put out Rathgarogue/cushinstown A team in the other semi final. Enniscorthy got the scoring underway with their goalie sending the ball to the back of the net with his throwout and they scored yet again with team member Jack Doyle on form but Castlebridge/crosssabeg clawed one back by Tomas Scallan and the half time score ended with a 4-1 lead for Enniscorthy. Castlebridge/crossabeg showed true grit in the second half and continued to force the pace but goals by Dylan Mcveigh kept Enniscorthy in a comfortable lead and the match ended on a 6-1 scoreline, The runners up from Castlebridge/crossabeg had Padraic Jordan, Hugh Peter Manley, Darragh Malone, Tm Keavney, Thomas O`connor, Tomas Scallan, Brandon Maltby and Martin Sliazas on their panel.
The local Crossabeg Youth club enjoyed getting creative at the Easter Egg painting workshop. They are off to dance the night away at the Spring disco to be held on Friday, April 20. The bus will leave the community centre and members must have had their names down for inclusion. Remmember to bring your permission slip and €10. There was a small turnout on Saturday last to clean up the rubbish in the Ballinaslaney area as part of Operation clean up month organised by An Taisce. Well done to those who turned out to rid their area of unsightly rubbish and a huge thank you to Rosie O`toole for her trojan work. There is still plenty of work to be done and the group have arranged another clean up for Saturday, April 21, so if you have an hour or so to spare, then why not drop down to Ballinaslaney where bags, gloves and litter picks will be available. Crossabeg/ballymurn GAA club had no winner of last weeks lotto Jackpot and two match three winners, Stephen Carley and Paul Roche. The numbers drawn were 2, 5, 16, and 18. This week's jackpot is €3,000.
Best of luck to the Junior A footballers who play St Johns in the championship on Sunday next, April 22 at 6.30 p.m in Ballymurn. The Minor hurlers game against The Harriers was postponed. The U16 hurlers play at home against Craanford on Sunday next, April 22 at 11a.m. The U14 footballers beat Craanford last week and they play at home to Rosslare this Wednesday, April 18 at 7.30 p.m. County development draw tickets are now on sale.
We extend our deepest sympathy to Miss Mary Carley, Ballyharron, Crossabeg, and to the extended Carley families, on the death of her brother Tom Carley, who died at his residence, 49, Sean Mcdermot Terrace, Hill street, Wexford, on Saturday of last week. His funeral took place to Crossabeg cemetery after Requiem Mass on Tuesday of last week. R.I.P.
