The local soccer clubs annual clean up day takes place on Saturday, June 30 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. All club members and volunteers are needed to give a hand with weeding, painting etc to get the grounds spick and span again.
Please bring along, if possible, paint brushes, weed killer, power hoses, sprayer, strimmer, step ladders, hoes, rags for cleaning etc. It is essential to have the club facilities cleaned up ahead of the summer sports camp which begins the following Monday, July 2.
The Community Games Athletic finals take place in Craanford this coming Saturday, June 23.
All athletes from the local area who have qualified are asked to be in attendance by 9 a.m. for the parade which will be followed immediately by the events themselves. Area Singlets will be handed out by the adults and athletes are asked to wear black knicks, white socks and runners for the parade. Help is also needed from the parents to help take care of the children during the day.
