BARNTOWN YOUTH CLUB

We would like to welcome back all our club members and a special welcome is extended to our "new crew". We sincerely hope you enjoy your time with us. See you all on Friday night 8 - 10 pm.

Irish Dancing Kay Sutherland School of Irish Dancing has recommenced in Glynn Hall on Monday evenings. Beginners class at 5.45pm and advanced class at 6.45pm. All welcome. For further information please contact Kay on (087) 9035 296.

CAMOGIE

Over 80 people from Glynn Barntown Camogie club travelled to Croke Park for the Camogie All Ireland Finals last week. A great day out was had by all and a big thank you to John, Betty and Suzanne for organising the bus and making sure everyone was looked after.

The eagerly anticipated replay of the Intermediate Camogie Co. Final between Glynn Barntown and Bunclody will take place on Saturday 2nd October at 5.30pm in Oylegate G.A.A. pitch. Please come and support the girls.

Well done to the u-16 camogie team who beat Oylegate/ Glenbrien last Wednesday night. The girls will now play Rathnure in the Co. semi final on Saturday 25th September. Venue and time to be decided.

The u-8 and u-10 camogie team travelled to Cushinstown on Saturday 19th September for a blitz. The girls thoroughly enjoyed their day out. A big thank you to all the mentors and parents who helped out.

BARNTOWN SCHOOL NEWS

New Roof: Work is progressing well and according to plan on the new roof and it is hoped that it will be coming to an end over the coming weeks. Its certainly well worth the wait. Thank you to all for observing the new entrances and exits in place during the building period.

Rackard League: The Rackard League campaign has now begun and the children are already training hard after school for the matches ahead.

School Mass: The (start of year) School Mass takes place tomorrow (Thursday) at 10 am. All are welcome to attend.

COMMUNITY GAMES AGM

Glynn Barntown Community games AGM will be on tonight Wednesday 22nd September in the Gaa club house at 7.30 pm. All welcome to attend, for very brief meeting. We promise you will not be rail roaded onto the committee, just come along and find out what is available. Phone 086 3527292.

GLYNN YOUTH CLUB

We had a very successful opening night on Friday. Parents are reminded to take a look at the supervision rota on the notice board to check when they are on. Parents are reminded that youth club hours are 8 to 10 pm are we are not responsible for kids before or after these times. Club mobile number is 089 4384831.

COFFEE MORNING

Glynn Youth Club had a very enjoyable coffee morning and cake sale on Sunday after mass. We want to thank everyone for their support, company and lovely baking. Thanks to everyone's generosity we raised €312 for the youth club funds.
