Around 50 of the world's most beautiful Tall Ships, set sail from Belfast on Sunday last and are currently making their way down south in Irish waters.
This is a fantastic experience for a young lad and Daragh was extremly excited in the days leading up to his journey. The Tall Ships arrive in Waterford harbour tomorrow Thursday 30th June, where Daragh disembarks and a group of his friends and family will be making the trip to Waterford to welcome him back on dry land.
BARNTOWN SCHOOL NEWS
Fun Day: Remember the Parent's Association Annual Fun Day takes place today Wednesday, June 29th. We are still looking for helpers, so should you be available, please call up to the school this morning and seek out any members of the parent's association, who will gladly give you a job (for as little or as long as you wish). We have a bottle stall and wheel of fortune.
For our little ones we have a duck ride, bouncy castle and face-painting. We have a raffle, basketball hoop competition and golf. We've got a shop full of goodies and tea and coffee with some freshly baked cakes and buns for those of you who just want to sit back and relax and lots lots more. Louise - her daughters - and her sister Vikki will be providing the best of entertainment for the occasion and we expect they'll be getting lots of help from wanna-be pop stars who are be taking a break from the classroom. ( We don't mean the teachers)!
Book and Uniform swaps are going ahead as planned and as usual there will be some great bargains to be had. Come along and enjoy all the fun today in Barntown N.S.
